Picked this up when it was released as it smelled and tasted like a dank, fruit bomb. If you like your beers that way, you'll love this as the recessed alcoholic presence was perfect and allowed for the subtle potency of this to shine through from start to finish.
Quite the dank pour to this as the beer was a muddled apricot with plenty of head and even more lacing left behind as I worked my way through the liquid in my teku glass. Lots of melon, pineapple, onion, and scallions in the nose with radishes, stone fruit, green grape, and dank slickness in the taste. It grabbed me from the first sip and never let go and as odd as the range of flavors was, this completely worked and had my attention until the end of my session. The juicy mouthfeel felt freshly squeezed from an orange while the basic, bready malt served as a neutral body and allowed for the strong and somewhat conflicting flavors to intermingle with each other as this warmed up.
Weak, this was not but with so much going on here and as smooth as could be, who's to notice? One hop that's common and one that's uncommon allowed for some familiarity with this beer as the edges of it were a bit "out there" compared to more common offerings. In the end, this beer dated 8/4 with "ACROSS THE UNIVERSE" written below it was a stone-fruit-and-vegetable salad of sorts that pleased all of my senses and had me wanting more. What else could I ask for during this wee hour of the night?

A 1 pint can, canned on 4th August 2017. Poured into a Lost Abbey teku glass.
Appearance: A hazy dark orange colour with a two finger white head that had excellent retention and left lots of nice lacing.
Aroma: Juicy, strong guava and orange pith with some unripe mango, pineapple and mandarin.
Taste: Juicy freshly cut papaya, apricot and pineapple with perhaps hints of mango and citrus rind. Light sweetness and moderately bitter on the finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation.
Overall: Very nice and juicy taste plus aroma that just makes me want to go for more.

Super thick appearance, tan colored. Lots of hoppy aroma and flavors. Notes of pineapple and resin. Bitter finish, somewhat of a heavier body. Not the best Other Half but a solid showing.
