Picked this up when it was released though it didn't have a date or anything else stamped on the bottom of the can. Nice taste and feel to this but like the All Green Everything, this was just too boozy and strong for me to fully enjoy. It's a fine beer with enough going for it but after having this, both my palate and taste for the session were nearly shot...

Typical Other Half pour to this was a dark, dank apricot hue with a sufficient head to top it off. Plenty of booze, tropical fruit, and dankness in the nose as the latter was *very* strong in the taste here. Chock full of melon, stone fruit, and apricot nectar, this one packed a subtle, but everlasting punch that held it's own throughout my time with this. While there wasn't a lot of lacing left on the side of my Teku glass, this was plenty thick since it felt like resin with some herbal tea thrown in for good measure. Slick and potent, this was just a tad too sweet and felt like fermented honey with some grass thrown in once this was fully down.

One of these at a time would be enough as the alcohol was easy to discern. Had this been toned down a bit, this would easily be among Other Half's top echelon of beers, which is saying a lot given this brewery's recent releases. If you're a fan of Enigma, you'll love this but just take it slow and savor every drop of it!

Appearance: Pours very cloudy and honey colored with a thick, frothy head; excellent retention and a wall of lace

Smell: The sweet, boozy tones overwhelm the more delicate tropical fruit element; papaya and grapefruit pith in the mix

Taste: A hint of papaya emerges but the pith and alcohol burn overwhelm the mid-palate; the finish is harsh

Mouthfeel: Medium to full body with moderate carbonation; a lot of warmth in the gullet

Overall: The enigma to me is why this beer rates so high; some things should just not be imperialized

Thanks, JBYRD64, for the opportunity

On tap at Beavertown Extravaganza. Aroma is dank and hoppy with sweet grapefruit notes. Taste is sweet and hoppy at first, follows fruity and tropical, finishes grassy and dank.
