10/22/21 dated tall can...so about one month in the can...

Fully juiced/hazed pour, lighter squash soup in color. Lasting 1/4 inch cap, creates a bunch of ringed lacing, and after a hearty sip, leaves fully coating fine sheeting on the glass...nice looking brew!

Muted sniff with some faint tropical fruit notes.

Delicious creation, with the typical and expected ripe tropical notes, including melon, mango, light lime, and ginger...quality and highly enjoyable in all aspects...go get some!

From the most recent canning a few weeks back. Just another delicious hoppy beer from OH - wish I could try them all. Other Half seems to be operating on a level just a tick better than pretty much anyone when it comes to hoppy beers these days for my money, of course not having had the opportunity to try all the competition (I've tried a lot of it at this point, though).

Here you have a full bodied murky orange beer with creamy lacing that clings to the glass - it looks appealing and that's not generally something I'd say about the NEIPA style. No floaties and while the head dissipates quickly the lacing is there long after the glass has been emptied.

Aroma isn't super pronounced here, you get mildly fruity notes and then a hint of dankness, but the flavor comes on strong and alleviates any concerns quickly. Lots of stone and tropical fruits, mango, pineapple, maybe some grapefruit, then a secondary resinous dank underpinning and in the finish, mild bitterness and aspirin character remaining on the tongue. Alcohol is very faintly present. These latter features really elevate the beer to me, it's a modern NE style brew but still has some teeth and lets you know it's an IPA and not a juice box.

The feel is medium and just faintly watery, which allows for easy drinkability; carbonation is medium and lively enough to lighten things up and cut through the smoothness of the oats. Just a really fun and enjoyable beer; I wish I had the time to get out to the brewery more often and stock up because I'm rarely anything short of delighted with this brewery's offerings.

DDH version. This was recently canned. And very true to what I had a few days ago in the brewery on tap from the same batch.
Mango juice aspect with a thick head with good retention and leaving laces.
Type of can’t beat it aroma with notes of mango, passion fruit, pine resin, lemongrass, oranges, lemon drops, stone fruits, true grapefruit and cantaloupe melon.
Bold juicy and dank flavor with notes of mango thick juice, pineapple, pine resin, passion fruit, ginger, lemon drops, onion, oats, cantaloupe and berries. Dry and bitter aftertaste. Pungent, lingers a little while then suddenly stops.
Medium to full velvety body with perfect carbonation. Alcohol of 8% is superbly well hidden.
Dank, tropical and citrusy DIPA with siamese nose and mouth. Good hop complexity by Vic, Citra and Ekuanot hops. Not sissy as some NEIPAs, though it calms down after a few sips. This felt great very cold and warmer. Try both you will like one or another better.

Look - poured from a 16 oz can. Pale yellow in color and very cloudy, with virtually no head and lacing. Looks almost like a glass of pineapple juice. Interesting, to say the least.
Smell - a full spectrum of flavors, ranging from fruits (pineapples, mangoes, peaches, grapefruit). Strong hoppiness underlies the fruitiness.
Taste - surprisingly, the beer tastes as it smells. All of the same fruit flavors are present, with a much more dominant hoppiness that lingers. The beer finishes with a fragrant and slightly sweet finish, as most good DIPAs that I've had does.
Feel - medium bodied with below average carbonation. Boozy at 8%, but virtually undetectable.
Overall - the Other Half makes a lot of amazing beers, and most of it needs to be drank fresh. This one was purchased a couple of weeks ago, and I suspect that's why there is not as much head/lacing. Not much to say about the beer aside from it being very drinkable, flavorful, and highly boozy.
