Picked up a bottle in a trade and am sampling at cellar temp and pouring into my trusty snifter. The beer pours a dark chocolate color with fizzy beige head of .5cm that fades quickly to nothing after the pour. No light passes through my glass with this dark brew.
Aroma is some sweet chocolate and a bit of vanilla and some nutty character that reminds me of hazelnuts, but I guess that is the almonds. The booze is very well hidden here and I dont seem to sniff any hops.
First sip reveals a fairly thick body with velvety smooth texture and very fine, yet tingly carbonation that gently tickles my palate on each sip. The brew leaves a bit of a sticky coating in my mouth after each sip.
The flavor is kind of sweet up front with candy chocolate and hot cocoa mix flavors. There is also some vanilla buried and mixed with a bit of a roasted note in the middle of the beer. Im not getting any cinnamon, but that could be from the aging on this bottle. The chocolate flavor is dominant and that is what lingers after each swallow. I dont find any hint of the bigger booze until after the swallow, where I get a little warming in my belly. Were hops even used in this beer? I dont find them! Brew is dangerously drinkable for the high octane number but does start to feel a little heavy towards the finish of the bottle.
A very good imperial stout that is definitely on the sweeter side. Glad to have tried this one!

This one pours a fairly dark black color, with a small head, and not much lacing.
The almond and vanilla come through mostly strongly here in the aroma, as the cinnamon is wisely in the background.
This is definitely a pastryboi's dream, but luckily the base stout itself is really nice too, with a substantial chocolatey flavor, and some coffee. Like the aroma, the almonds and vanilla comes through strongest, with only a touch of spice on the back end.
This is medium bodied and very creamy- it's got a nice decadence to it. It's more drinkable than you'd expect.
I've really, really been enjoying Other Half stouts. They're establishing themselves as one of the better pastry factories in the country now.

Mid Sized bottle, purchased at the source a few months ago
Pours near black, dark tan cap that leaves a fine bubble film and low ringed lacing.
Bold nose that's loaded with milk chocolate notes.
Lucious, complex, heady, soft, smooth, well rounded, flavorful, over the top terrific and delicious.
More milk chocolate, vanilla, nuts, rum and general Impy stout goodness....World class in every way...note to self: purchase more of these nuggets when you have a chance to buy em...

Decanted from a 16.9 oz (500 ml) bottle into a custom conical pint glass; no production information but purchased at the brewery and refrigerated.
A: Pours a near black color with a half inch, brick orange to brass head with modest retention and transient but thick lacing, largely when swirled.
S: Aromas of dark chocolate, orange peel, whiskey, and vanilla initially. Nutty, more macadamia or almonds.
T: Sweet. Flavors follow the nose, although nuttiness very evident as are sugar cane and orange peel sweetness. Bitterness present, but in the background.
M: Full bodied, creamy, rich, and modest, but persistent, carbonation. A bit boozy, though.
O: As billed and yummy. My second stout by Other Half and really, really delicious. Not much more to say.
