Poured from a bottle into a small glass taster
L: deep black brown, hint of head that dies immediately with zero lacing
S: sweet and boozy maple nose with rich fudge, raisins, coffee. Vanilla as warms, tiny hint of peanut butter?
T: maple syrup and sharp dark chocolate immediately, followed by some vanilla and almond wrapped in boozy heat. Long, sweet, warm finish - some coconut, then peanut butter at the very end which I like (wish it appeared sooner). A bit bitter
F: decent mouthfeel, carbonation good. Coates my mouth but feels a touch medicinal, again boozy
O: a stout with a lot going on that ends up a bit muddled. Some decent flavors but the adjuncts don’t come across in a balanced way

This one pours a very dark black color, with a small head, and not much lacing.
This smells incredibly and overwhelmingly sweet, with overwhelming almond syrup and maple syrup, a touch of coconut, melted low quality chocolate, and peanut butter candy.
This is very messy. A lot of Other Half beers, stouts and pastry sours alike, teeter on the edge of "wow, I didn't think this would work, and it does" and "wow, this is a disaster and it's just too much." This leans pretty heavily into the latter category. There's just too much added to this. It's way too sweet, none of the "adjuncts" are defined, and the base stout is completely and utterly buried. I can imagine somebody liking this, but it's not me.
This is medium bodied, syrupy, and sits heavy on the palate, with a lower level of carbonation, and a tough drinkability.
The Crunchee series itself has been going downhill lately, so I guess it's only fitting that the stout-ified Crunchee is also messy.
