Hazy orange colored (not chunky), likely from the rye, with an eggshell colored half inch head of tight foam that settles slowly to a frothy cap. Bright and inviting aroma of citrus and mint. Bright, hoppy citrus flavor upfront, matching the aroma. Honey malt flavors offset the hops somewhat, but the hops push it down. Subtle rye spiciness accompanies. Mild bitterness in the finish, tingles the tongue. Tasty beer.

16 oz can poured into a Spiegelau glass canned on 3/24

A: murky as all get out very hazy with particles floating orangish brownish gold in color nice creamy white looking head

S: rye right up front and some citrus to follow with a very earthy grain smell like oats

T: lots of rye and some of that spiciness followed by pineapple and tangerine with a nice yeasty oaty finish

M: creamy and a tad thick makes the beer feel bigger

O: for a 5.1% ABV beer this beer is fantastic and full of flavor. The rye is a nice edition to what would otherwise be a juicy fruit of a beer. The mouthfeel makes the flavors of this beer pop and I love the oats and grain finish to the hazy beers. Very glad I grabbed this.

It was just an ok beer. It was nothing really great. The smell is that of what I think is cascade, the beer just has that same hop smell that so many other beers have. I got it in cans, when poured it into the glass the head had this uneven soap bubble look to it not the most attractive looking head to a beer. The color was nothing special, not bad just not "outstanding". I enjoyed the beer I just don't think It is that "outstanding" I don't think a 91 is an accurate rating, it in no way is a bad beer it's a nice drink but it is nothing mind blowing, outstanding, or special. Bissell Brothers seems like it has started a bit of a cult following. Really nice looking cans though great for the hipster thing in portland right now.

On tap at the brewery.

Great looking head, lacing all the way down the glass. Very cloudy beige golden hue, can't see through it at all. Hoppy nose of tangerine rind, tobacco, & pine ... not much else in the nose other than a faint mash-up of malt and yeast. The rye is there on the palate which adds some body, lots of hop flavor and an ample bitterness but there is a bit of a muddled malt & yeast combo within that distracts. Fresh flavors, too fresh IMO. Wish this beer was settled out with cleaner flavors.

Drinks and smells like a citrusy IPA, but with slightly bitter notes throughout. Great cloudy, orange color. Low alcohol makes its a flavorful, easy drinking beer.

Orange-gold pour with huge, billowy head that lingers and leaves a nice sticky lace. Spicy rye and lemony citrus hops in the nose and the taste. Light medium body with moderate carb. Peppery dry finish. This beer is very easy to crush.
