16 oz can poured into a Spiegelau glass canned on 3/24
A: murky as all get out very hazy with particles floating orangish brownish gold in color nice creamy white looking head
S: rye right up front and some citrus to follow with a very earthy grain smell like oats
T: lots of rye and some of that spiciness followed by pineapple and tangerine with a nice yeasty oaty finish
M: creamy and a tad thick makes the beer feel bigger
O: for a 5.1% ABV beer this beer is fantastic and full of flavor. The rye is a nice edition to what would otherwise be a juicy fruit of a beer. The mouthfeel makes the flavors of this beer pop and I love the oats and grain finish to the hazy beers. Very glad I grabbed this.

It was just an ok beer. It was nothing really great. The smell is that of what I think is cascade, the beer just has that same hop smell that so many other beers have. I got it in cans, when poured it into the glass the head had this uneven soap bubble look to it not the most attractive looking head to a beer. The color was nothing special, not bad just not "outstanding". I enjoyed the beer I just don't think It is that "outstanding" I don't think a 91 is an accurate rating, it in no way is a bad beer it's a nice drink but it is nothing mind blowing, outstanding, or special. Bissell Brothers seems like it has started a bit of a cult following. Really nice looking cans though great for the hipster thing in portland right now.

16 oz. can from 9/28/18. Poured into 16 oz. Belgian ale glass.
L: 2F+ head, good retention, leaves spots of lacing higher and then sheets lower with a good cap an ring. Beer is a hazy amber.
S: Citrus and tropical with earthiness, and all the rye malt. It's quite good.
T: Follows nose. Citrus is not in your face, more of a grapefruity background. Strong rye backbone, earthy and very slightly bitter finish.
F: Light to moderate bodied, moderate carbonation. Well-balanced and easy to drink.
O: I like it. Not a big rye in beer fan, but this is about the best I can recall.

Looks nice. Cloudy, light peach colored. Sharp florals, pineapple and tangerine aromatics. More of the same in the flavor, along with white grapefruit and smarties candy. Maybe that's the rye. Kind of a sweet spice. Is it my thinking about smarties that makes the finish seem a little chalky? I don't know. Anyway, it's fairly crisp but satisfying--enough alcohol and body to keep the nice hops from disappearing. Really nice. Better than Substance, which (along with inconsistency) I find to have a weird onion thing going on sometimes. The spice here, however, is spot-on.

I'm not sure where the disconnect is... It smells like a very complex DIPA, but tastes like a very solid APA, maybe a bit watered down compared to others. The aftertaste is Dank and strong, I didn't expect it to be this good. Wish I bought more! Poured from a can purchased/sealed on 3/25/16, enjoyed in a tulip on 3/29/16.

5 oz. on tap at the brewery.
Appearance: Hazy straw with a big while head.
Aroma: Tropical fruit, rye, honey, pepper.
Taste: Whoooooaaaaaa dude. This is a great hoppy rye. Mango note hits first followed by pepper spice. More pine and fruit notes from the hops. Slight honey note. Really good.
Mouthfeel: Super easy on the palate despite pretty heavy hops and super flavor.
Overall: Stop what you're doing right now and go find this beer. If anyone else is getting the last can, powebomb them in the beer aisle. Super good.
