It has a beautiful amber color but a pungent smell due to the Idaho hops. Very strong “pot” smell, which I don’t like. The taste is quite pleasant and clean though.

A - Poured an unfiltered golden orange color with a white frothy and bountiful two finger head. Left tons of lacing, appears fresh and lively.

S - Bright and citrusy with a pronounced hop aroma of lemon peel, grapefruit, and dank pine. Sweet malt cuts through along with a sharp fruity yeast and alcohol.

T - The flavor profile matches the nose to a tee, citrus forward. Intense lemon and grapefruit, with a slight pine. The hops are present throughout the whole sip and it finishes with a lingering juicy hop flavor. There is ample malt sweetness throughout, just adding to the juice quality of the brew. Bittering is low, as expected with the style, but I must lament that this particular example would benefit from more bittering hops.

M - The mouthfeel is great, its medium carbonation, smooth on the palate, just overall juicy hop bomb. The lack of bittering hops, yet the fact it is still somewhat dry lends this to be a very satisfying and utterly crushable brew.

O - This is overall a great NE IPA, no flaws stylistically. Super juicy and dangerously sessionable at 6.2%. Bissell has quite the line-up of IPAs they brew, this is probably not the hopiest, or the dankest, but its just ridiculously juicy, easy drinking and utterly enjoyable.

Canned 6 days ago.

L -- Opaque amber-orange body with three fingers of off-white head produced with moderate pour. Great retention and good lacing
S -- Lime zest, kiwi, papaya, lemon sorbet, blueberry, red grapefruit
T -- Green botanicals, yellow grapefruit rind, kumquat, orange zest. Darker malts than in many of their NEIPAs
F -- Medium mouthfeel, medium carb. Quite rindy and bitter initially but tapers off nicely. Fine effervescence
O -- Tasty and flavorful in any easy to drink package

Poured from a 16 oz can into a Dogfish Head tulip

L: Hazed medium golden pour with big foamy white head. Great ring of sticky lacing.

S: Grains and hops. Strong pine with grapefruit and melon.

T.F: Follows the nose. Cereal grains, pine/resin, and grapefruit rind. A bit of melon, fruit, and peppercorn. Medium body... oily on the tongue. Some hop bitterness/bite which is nice. More pine and grapefruit in the finish.

O: A well executed American IPA with more of an 'old school' flavor and bite. Tasty... and light enough that you can have 2.

Very turbid wheat looking. Bursting with tropical, pineapple and piney aromas.
Taste follows the smell, very soft and fluffy with a dry finish. Really well done beer.
Excited to have Bissell Brothers in NoVA.

L: Poured from a tallboy can to a snifter glass. Had a yellowish / brown color and a cloudy consistency. There was an inch of creamy, somewhat long-lasting head. Fantastic lacing.

S: A very good aroma of hops, malt, citrus fruit, tropical fruit, and a grainy quality.

T: Tasted of a small amount of melon (kind of fleeting), a tinge of the grainy quality, a good shot of hops (a dominant feature here), some tropical fruit (grapefruit, in particular), and a little tropical fruit (papaya). A super-solid flavor all around. It's more like a classic DIPA than the fruit-centric NE IPA, but it still works.

F: A well-carbonated beer with a smooth finish. Medium-bodied.

O: In general, a solidly made beer. Worth a look.

On tap at Canton St May 2020

Solid but not exceptional, I hold Bissell to a very high standard and this wasn’t their best. It really drank like a mix of a more traditional IPA with a slightly heavier malt profile and a tea-like hop flavor. Would drink again but not seek out

Draught @ Brewery: This one pours an opaque dark golden color. There was a thin off white head that leaves some lacing. Good nose. Lots of different hops in there. Citrus, melon and some pine are on top. The taste is very good. Citrus, melon, pine, other tropical hop flavors. An excellent beer.
