Notes:
Our first lager. Cold-conditioned for many weeks to properly balance a clean, full malt profile with the fresh and zest character of locally-grown Sterling hops.

A: The beer is relatively clear yellow in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that left a thin head of bubbles covering most of the surface and lots of lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of herbal and spicy yeast are present in the nose along with notes of yeast and hints of breads malts.
T: The taste follows the smell, except that the yeasty and malty flavors are more balanced with those of the herbal and spicy hops. There is a light to moderate amount of bitterness.
M: It feels medium-bodied, a bit smooth and a little dry on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: I really liked the balance between the malts/yeast and hops in the taste of this beer. It is a good representation of the style.

I dig lagers. Any and all types. But only well made ones.
This is not one I dug. Sweet as all get out, yet still had an unpleasant bitterness. I doubt they would do it, but had a crystal malt sweetness. Prob just under pitched.
This was a fresh can, and it was quite bitter. Not enough to overcome the malts, but it is an unpleasant, lingering ear wax bitterness. Not a noble, crisp, clean, pleasant finish. Also had the roasted peanut hop profile I find in the Substance—and enjoy in an ale. But not in a lager.
Bissell makes killer ales.

16oz canned 8-25-19 (I think, hard to read), opened 10-12-19
1" white head, good retention and early sticky lacing. Golden Helles with very good clarity. Looks like it needs drinking.
Soft doughy malt...clay, hops back it with floral, herbal, and spice notes...subtle and enticing.
Clean lager, slight sweetness of malt followed quickly by spicy hops...simple and very well done.
Light body, medium carbonation...clean. Medium length dry finish.
Very good.
Drinkability is HIGH...crushable at 5.3%.
Had several nice Lagers from Bissell Brothers on my visit.

Clear amber body; excellent carbonation; thick and rocky white head, creamy. Excellent fruity aroma, light and quiet; mild biscuit note. Very fine flavors of peach and other fruits; very mild sweetness; bread crust; medium level of bitterness balancing things out. Medium body; fine coarseness yet also a wonderful wet and slippery quality; mild dryness counters a mild sweetness.
This delightful beer delivers some goods. Subtle esters interact nicely with a soft malt backbone. The hop bitterness comes through nicely midway into the sip and lingers nicely with a slow fade. Delicious and refreshing.

A: Medium gold with some straw tones - clear - pours with a medium sized white head, slowly fades to a nearly solid cap, retains a small head
S: Nearly equal parts pilsner malts, cereal grains, and hops - grainy, with a bit of pale malt and some more toasted aromas, with some biscuit, seems a bit much for the style - lots of cereal grains - some raw grains in the aftertaste - fairly hoppy, with German and Czech hops - lots of grass, herbal notes, and some spice - a bit rough and earthy
T: A bit rough, earthy, and hoppy, not exactly what I was expecting - pilsner malts and cereal grains - toasted bread, toasted grain, and biscuit, as well as some bread crust flavors that would be more suitable in a Bock or Marzen - hoppy notes, with grass, herbal notes, and some spice, pepper - medium bitterness - medium level of sweetness that kind of lingers, with some notes of caramel - finishes with some spice
M: Medium body, medium carbonation, crisp, some lingering sweetness
O: Wait, this isn't supposed to be a hazy IPA?
I was curious when I saw Bissell had canned a lager. I have been really starting to enjoy lagers over the past few years, and sadly, this is an example of something that prevented me from getting into lagers earlier. It's overly hoppy and rough. It lacks the "delicate" character that makes lagers so interesting. It's not really a bad beer, but it's not a great pils.

Big fluffy head, 1 finger good retention nice soapy lacing, crystal clear blond straw color
Nose raw lager malts, straw, doughy malt, soft creamy lager, mild grassy hops, hint fruity
Taste more cereal grains, toasted grainy bread dough, straw, hops really kick in, soft earthy grassy hops, quite bitter almost astringent, not very crisp on finish either
Decent fluffy carb, lighter bod, little soft lager
Overall way too hoppy and bitter, lager wasn't the best lagering, and cereal grains a bit too much out front
