22oz brown bomber, sample from the brewery.

A bit of lavish drinking never did anyone harm, this Imperial Stout is not only Bourbon Barrel Aged but it is also flavored with Coffee and Vanilla. Big time roasty side of this brew, something I really love to see especially when its a bigger sweeter brew so with that said the balance is there. Not one flavor sticks to the palate for too long side from the Imperial Stout character, by far one of the most memorable flavored Impy Stouts I've had this year. A beer that tells me to look into more great brews from this brewery, seriously good drinking here.

22 oz bottle poured into snifter

A: Almost no head whatsoever body is a deep black.

S: Lots of coffee

T: Coffee, nice chocolate, roasted malts, a little caramel, bourbon is very hidden

M: Pretty full, not thick but not thin either just right down the middle.

O: This beer just works, its good but if you wanted vanilla I don't get much or bourbon for that matter. However, the beer is delicious lots of coffee easy drinking.

Poured from a 22 oz. bottle it is a fairly viscous black with a decent dark tan ring but not much building head.

Smells like vanilla, whiskey, charred wood and malts, and a hint of coffee.

A lot of vanilla flavor and a pretty strong bourbon presence, but nowhere newr overpowering. Not getting much coffee from it, but the there is a strong roasted/charred grains taste and a bit of chocolate.

Body is silky smooth and fairly full.

Excellent beer

Black with reddish-brown edges and a thick tan collar.

The vanilla from the base beer is kicked up a notch in aroma, likely from the barrel, to a sort of sticky, sweet treat. Some bourbon, woodiness, and roasted malt follows.

Sweet sticky maple comes forward in flavor right away, with roasty nutty oakiness and chocolate almost conjuring up candied bacon.

Really fluffy and smooth, there's a little heat but it's tolerable.
