Very Good
TricycleTricycle
Notes: Resting upon three wheels pointing in different stylistic directions sits this hybrid of an ale. Wheel #1 spins toward a cream ale, another approaches a wheat, and yet a third rolls near a pale ale. Working together they drive Tricycle to a slightly sweet and citrusy state backed with just enough hop bitterness to remain upright. Ride On!

Got in a trade with The-Adjunct-Hippie. 12 ounce can into pint glass, canned on 11/26/2018. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy pale golden yellow color with a 1-2 finger dense and rocky white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice dense soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big lemon, cracker, corn, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, and lightly toasted biscuit; with lighter notes of pear, red apple, herbal, floral, wood, grass, pepper, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance of pale malt/grains and light-moderate earthy hop/fruity yeast notes; with great strength. Taste of big lemon, cracker, corn, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, and lightly toasted biscuit; with lighter notes of pear, red apple, herbal, floral, wood, grass, pepper, and yeast earthiness. Light herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of lemon, cracker, corn, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, biscuit, pear, red apple, herbal, floral, wood, grass, pepper, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great robustness and balance of pale malt/grains and light-moderate earthy hop/fruity yeast flavors; with an awesome malt/bitterness balance, and no cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Fairly crisp/clean finishing. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/grainy, and fairly sticky mouthfeel that is fantastic. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5.2%. Overall this is an excellent cream ale. All around great robustness and balance of pale malt/grains and light-moderate earthy hop/fruity yeast flavors; very smooth, refreshing, and fairly crisp/clean to drink with the mellowly bitter/drying finish. Very flavorful and not watery for the ABV. Great clean malt/grain showcase, with nice earthy hop presence/balance, and restrained yeast fruitiness. Mild residual sweetness with crisp dryness. A really enjoyable offering, and impressive spot on style example.

12oz can. Poured out a pale, golden color with a white head of fluffy foam. It smelled of citrus, bread crust and toffee. Sweet caramel flavor with some mild roastiness and bitterness. Hint of orange, too.

only loosely a cream ale to my palate, this one covers a lot of ground for such a light and pale and drinkable beer, nice to see a brewery put as much thought and obvious care into the light pounders as the do to the more ambitious stuff, this is really tasty. its pretty clear and sort of matte golden looking, lots of bubbles but they seem to pop more than they collect into much head, a thin white layers is all that holds. this immediately seems bold for a cream ale, i get a crackery euro pils malt complexion up front, oddly enough some wit type elements, fruity and estery there, and then also more hops than are usually found in a traditional cream ale. the flavor shows a pretty complex garin layering with pale wheat and pilsener malts obvious, giving some serious character to what usually is a somewhat unremarkable style in terms of the mash. the corn part here is subtle, this isnt sweet like that at all, but its nicely unique, still delicate overall, but just a lot more happening here than in most. its not overly hopped either, but there is more than just a finishing bitter note, dried orange peel and lemon, part of what makes this also a little wit-like. it doesnt seem belgian in the yeast or anything, but i think from these fruitier hops and from the wheat malt i get sort of two thirds of a good wit here, i like it a lot! subtle white grape and orange as it fades out, and of course the pils malt. overall a killer beer, as flavorful as the crushers get without being session ipas!

L- pours a slightly hazy golden straw color with a one finger fluffy, white head. Has a little carbonation.
S- smell of sweet corn, malt, and hop. Slight lemongrass.
T- plenty of biscuit cracker with sweet malt. The Hop is secondary but more than I'm used to in a cream ale. Makes a wonderful combination.
M- nice crisp, refreshing mouthfeel.
O- one of the best cream ales I've had.

Light in color, good foamy head. Smells slightly apple-y, almost like a sour mixed with a PBR. The beer is..... creamy, but doesn't weigh the tongue. It's exceedingly balanced and easy to drink while treating the drinker to distinct and pleasant flavor with every sip. Pleasantly surprised with this beer.

Pours a light golden from the can. Very little aroma, I don’t detect the hoppy nose that others have noted in their reviews. Very nice, clean, full-flavoredmalt profile. The malt definitely carries, but there is a nice subtle hop flavor to this. This is a quite nice clean cream ale. Well made for what it is.
