Flavor upon flavor upon flavor, delicately layered into glassware. Locally roasted coffee (Sidecar Coffee Roasters), Ecuadorian cacao nibs, vanilla bean and a spice blend transform this standard take on the stout style into a full blown life altering experience. A SingleSpeed diá de los muertos tradición.

tallboy poured into pint glass.

canned on date 09/20/21.

Appearance: Light black bodied beer with massive light brown head. Good head retention. spotty lacing on the glass.

Smell: Mostly coffee with a hint of vanilla.

Taste: Drip coffee with moderate bitterness that carries all the way to the finish. Hint of vanilla sweetness, hint of oatmeal, and a "holiday spice mix" of cinnamon / nutmeg / all spice. Spices linger with the moderately bitter drip coffee note into the finish as well.

Mouthfeel: Lighter body with almost moderate carbonation. Heftiness is appropriate for the abv. Not boozy. Lightly watery texture. Creamier carbonation would have really made this beer pop.

Overall: I taste similarities to Abraxas with drip coffee added to the beer and it was put into a more sessionable base stout and without the chilies that Abraxas would have yet the spice blend seems to pick up that slack of the missing chilies. Interesting and easy drinking coffee stout.

Can poured into pint glass. Nose is coffee. Taste is a full-bodied spice/coffee mix. Very nice winter beer.

This is a good beer, but comes of as more of a robust porter than stout. It’s not as deep of a flavor as I’d expect based on the name. Light body, Dark reddish hue (not 100% black) no real head but good lacing. Nice roasty flavor, some vanilla undertones. Light mouthfeel for such a high alcohol content.

This is one tasty beer, but it hovers somewhere in the light porter/robust brown ale territory rather than an honest to goodness stout.

A: pours a deep brown with 1/2 finger tan head. Transparent claret red when held to light. Not dark enough for stout
S: lovely cocoa, coffee, vanilla...all perfectly balanced!
T: sweet chocolate, slight coffee and toffee, some fruity notes reminiscent of a yirgacheffe coffee. Very nice overall. Could stand to have more bitterness from higher quantity of darker malts, but darn it’s so balanced as it is!
M: creamy, sweet mainly. Slightly astringent finish.
O: a very tasty, super drinkable beer that just isn’t quite the stout I expected it to be. Go and get you some of this one cause it is another solid beer from SingleSpeed!

This is a gem of an oatmeal stout! Poured cold from 12-ounce can into a snifter. then allowed to warm to near room temperature. Deep mahogany colored pour, with a tan head that left a bit of lacing as it settled. Aromas and flavors of dark roast coffee, cocoa, vanilla, and a hint of cinnamon. Mouthfeel is on the medium-light side. with a slightly astringent finish and a touch of espresso bean on the finish. This has a lot of elements that integrate together very well. Highly recommended.
