Visited on Wednesday 10/11/2017. Loda is in the Dauphin Street area of Mobile just north of downtown which features lots of restaurants, bars, and public drunkenness. Loda has 102 beers on tap, including a good selection of Alabama brewed beers. I asked the waitress to give me a flight of four local hoppy or stoutish beers and I was impressed with what she poured. Good vibe, nice comfortable place to hang out in a touristy section of Mobile.

Loda bier Garten - Mobile Al.
Kinda dumpy rectangle of a place, Old school wooden bar …seating on picnic style benches
Lots of large TVs w the game on and classic mellow rock playing at a sensible level.
Corner location with large windows and plenty of out door seating, the whole place kinda stinks a bit like a lot of fried fish and French fries.
90(!) Or so quality options on tap so you will find plenty of worthy beer…I enjoyed a southern prohibition ipa that was on point.
Seared tuna blt sandwich spicy and hit the spot.
Street parking metered and on the tighter side in this downtown mobile Location.
Friendly service always a plus.
Good place for a casual bite and quality brews. Good with the guys, but I would stay away from this place with family or for any sort of date.

An amazing selection of both draft and bottled / canned beers. Prices are a bit ridiculous on single cans or bottles...but the service was fast and the food was solid. Mix of sports and reality TV on the flat-screens...it just fades away when the menu of beer is over 100 selections you don't much pay attention. A must stop for any beer snobs visiting Mobile, Alabama.

Vibe- Amazing, fun and energetic.
Quality- Beer and food quality is amazing as well.
Service- Pretty terrible to be honest. I've never had a good waiter/waitress.
Selection- Best Selection in Mobile, Alabama. Probably the best within 100 miles in each direction.
Food- Delicious, innovative, caloric.

Waitstaff was super cool and knowledgeable. Food was excellent and fresh. Only thing keeping it from 5 stars is that it’s pricey, but hey..a really good time!

Visited on a Saturday during the street festival following the 2017 Gears & Beers bike ride. The bar was packed and there seemed to be several other rooms and a second floor bar that were buzzing with activity. The atmosphere and decor are nothing special; it could be any other urban bar in Mobile or New Orleans, but it was ok. I sat at the bar because all tables within sight were taken. Bar service was a little slow just because of how busy it was, but the server was attentive and knowledgeable about the beer. I did not order any food.
There were signs saying they had 102 beers on tap. The beer menu didn't seem to have that many entries at a glance, but there did seem to be some beers behind the bar that were not on the menu, so I don't doubt the number. The beer menu was divided into broad categories with a listing of brewery, location and ABV for each. They had a wide range of quality beers that you might expect, along with some truly unusual and interesting-sounding ones. The rarer beers were at a premium price, but that's to be expected. The beer was served in appropriate glassware and the Dutch saison I had tasted fresh and well-cared for.
This is a good destination in downtown Mobile for quality craft beer.

I tried this place on a recent business trip. It's a cool spot, nice bar, nice selection, but the service was just OK. Beer selections were good, but the Celebration I got on tap didn't taste right. Seemed flat and was just a little off.
Food was OK. I would come back, but to me it's a solid beer bar, but nothing to write home about. Given the other options here, I can see why it's highly rated here.

Went here on a recommendation from a friend on Instagram. I was not disappointed! The beer selection is pretty extensive and the service we had was great. It was a little slow due to being a Wednesday so that may account for some things. I had a single beer and 2 flights with a couple pretzel appetizers. Stayed about 2 hours but really had a good time. Only downfall was some beers I wanted to try they were out of and their website isn't updated with the most recent offerings because it turns over so quick. If I am ever back in Mobile this will be my first stop.

From the moment you walk in, it's obvious the atmosphere is different than the other bars around here. Inside, there is a decent sized bar, wooden picnic tables, and several high-tops. If it's nice weather, there are a few tables outside. They have a few big screen TVs for sports fans, but it's not like BWW. They play good music soft enough to where you can actually talk inside the bar. LoDa has a mixed-age crowd, but there aren't a plethora of high school kids with fake IDs (like The Bar).
Unlike the bars where you have to fight through a 3-deep crowd to order a domestic bottle, LoDa has servers that will come to your table and take your order. The servers are knowledgeable about the beers available and can help guide you to your new favorite beer. I've always had very good service, even when it was busy. The friendly staff is a large part of what makes the atmosphere uniquely warm and inviting.
They have an extensive beer selection that offers almost any style of draft imaginable. The beer menu provides information on the brewery location, beer style, ABV, and IBU. If you have trouble deciding, the servers are usually quick to offer a free sample.
The food selection consists of pub appetizers (awesome pretzels), burgers/sandwiches, and German dishes. I've only eaten dinner at Loda once, but it was much better than what I expected from a bar. I think LoDa is a good value, but some may consider it pricey. Take advantage of their specials (1/2 off draft on Sundays) to make your money go farther.
