Poured from a 16 oz. can. Has a rich golden color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is mild, tropical fruits, hints of citrus. Taste is of orange peels, tropical fruits, light malts and bitterness. Feels medium/full bodied in the mouth and overall is a decent beer.

Poured from the can into a Spiegelau IPA glass. Canned March 6th 2019.

Golden orange bodied, with a simple amber color. Fairly clear with a little bit of opacity. Real nice creamy solid three finger head, with a fluffly top, off white and kind of vanilla yellow looking.

Aroma is old school and a bit malt focused. Mellow sensing hop, hits slightly citrus but there's a bit more gooey tropical tones. The tropical tones seem to bring out more of the malt base sweetness, a somewhat sticky goey caramel note with a light bitterness.

Palate sticks with the basics. Slightly biscuity flavor, but the hop prevail. Nothing earth shattering but a very simple fruity hop quality, light orange with a nice mix of caramel sugars, hinting a little brown sugar and a treacle. Nice herbal bitterness on the finish, almost clean lager like and feel, but with a somewhat dry pine finish that lingers giving to mint sage and other green herbs. Flirts with tea like flavors as well.

Interesting IPA a bit more classic in flavor, not going to do much for the haze bro crowd but this is very nicely put together IPA.

Is this a hazy IPA? Yes it's hazy in appearance; darker than most hazy IPAs (copper colored) and depending on the can opague to a nice haze but still letting light through. However this may not be completely the hazy juicy IPA you've grown to love, but I respect that.

It doesn't knock you out with tropical fruit flavors or aroma, but features a melange of pithy citrus fruit, pine and herbs. I'd say it weighs heavier on the piney herbal side.

Taste wise, my favorite thing is that this beer isn't sweet; far too many new England IPAs are cloyingly sweet. This is just right and perhaps slightly more bitter than the 30 advertised ibus would suggest. The hops pucker your lips in the way old school west coast IPAs do.

This is a well made IPA that Bridges the gap between the classic old school American IPAs and hazy IPAs using modern hop varietals.
