Pours a medium large foamy frothy tan head that fades at a med pace, then slows with good retention, thick lacing, decent legs, super dark molasses brown color

Nose explodes with oak barrel, tons of vanilla, buttery oak, and sweet fruity sherry, loads of dark fruits, fig, date, raisin, red wine, a bit of oxidized port wine, sweet candi sugar and caramelized brown sugar, background holiday spices like all spice, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, light perfumey alcohol, more spices as it warms

Taste super rich dark malt and Belgian candi sugar, caramelized brown sugar molasses like, light warming perfumey alcohol, big sherry barrel again, sweet red wine, aged port wine, sweet sherry with vanilla barrel and buttery oak but less than the nose, candy like and sweet but not super sweet, dark fruits with fig, brandy raisin, candied dates, again holiday spices with all spice, ginger, nutmeg, maybe cardamom, drier slight sticky finish, lingering sherry and masala wine, oak, candi sugar, spices and fruits lingering

Mouth is med to fuller bod, light alcohol but fairly smooth, lower carb

Overall very enjoyable, great sherry barrel notes that almost dominate the beer, but the base beer still comes through with nice dark fruits and spices, sweet but not overly sweet, only real knock is the low carbonation
