No date on the bottle...

Pours a huge 2.5 finger fizzy bubbly head that fades at a med pace, hazy nectar orange color, bubbly lacing.

Nose big hops, and immediately realized this is a mosaic heavy IPA which is unfortunate... lots of grassy earthy hops, big pine sap, piney like a pine tree on fire, with big dank resin, mild orange zest and tropical notes hidden in the back, some fruity aromas keep trying to come through but fail miserably. Even the mild sweet malty character stays muted, nothing can break past the walls of the mosaic pine resin and earthy grass.

Taste starts nice actually, a refreshing mild malt character with hint of sweetness, little toasty note, etc, and the hops start lightly at first, a little grassy flavor, touch fruity and floral even, but then suddenly like a summer downpour, the piney resin washes over, smothering everything in it's path, big spicy pine, earthy forest floor covered in burning pine needles, resin and burning grass just take over, big bitterness too. Sticky sap like finish, lingering pine tree sap and resin, with mild fruity notes and caramel that gets this icky bitter pine mixed in, like licking pine tree sap right off the tree.

Mouth is med bod, nice fluffy carb actually bordering too much carbonation.

Overall, eh, sigh, another IPA falls to the likes of mosaic. It's not the next Citra people! THis hop is terrible, I don't understand how people like it so much. Mosaic, destroyer of IPAs and everything good in a nice hoppy beer.

22oz brown bomber, sample from the brewery.

Great looking head and lacing that leaves a trail dow the glass. Deep golden hue shows it clarity. Fresh citrus zesty hoppiness in the nose, hints of bready malt and alcohol as well. Lands semi-dry with more of a stone fruit and citrus blend, dry grainy tone throughout with a kiss of chalky yeast and tangerine in the finish. Love the dryish side of this brew, really lets the hop character pop. With each sip it grows on me.

Poured from a bottle into a pint glass.

Appearance: Darker Amber color with a thick off white head.

Smell: Citrus and pine notes.

Mouthfeel/Taste: Smooth medium bodied. Taste of bitter hops and a sweet citrus finish.

Overall: Not a bad beer. I would have this one again.

Has been hard to get because of smallness of brewery but they have started canning it now and more readily available. Yea!!! For me it's their signature beer and worth it. One of the best IPA's from a Maine brewery and that's saying a lot

Poured from a 16 oz can into a pint glass. Canned on date was unreadable.

It has a satisfying, honey orange color that is clear and bubbly. Head is finger high with a tannish-white color. Aroma is of peach and pineapple with a hint of grapefruit, but not overpowering. I find the aroma a little muddled, maybe some breadiness coming in that dampens the brightness of the fruit hop tones. This carry over into the flavor profile as well, though I didn't sense it until the beer had warmed up a little. Mouth feel is somewhat thick and malty. The hearty bitterness and distinctive earthy Mosaic hop flavor kick in immediately and stay through to the end where a hint of pine comes through.

Make no mistake – this is a seriously hop-forward beer. I am really pleased with the balance this beer strikes between the malt backbone, bitterness and hop-flavor. A very drinkable beer for when you are looking for more serious IPA. I will pick this up again... doesn't hurt that its brewed the next town over.

More or less reminded me of Grapefruit Sculpin but with an actual grapefruit hop aroma rather than as a flavor additive. As a result, I actually like it better than Grapefruit Sculpin!

Poured from the can into a Spiegelau IPA glass. 11/22/2016 Get Schwifty!

Faint khaki colored three finger tall head, with minimal retention as it slowly slides and settles down the glass to a one finger puck with ease. Mostly clear body, amber orange in color and a slightly pale with a hint of brown. A few odd traces of sediment with later pours.

Classic dank and pineapple tropical hop notes on the aroma. Fairly straightforward and nicely presented with a simple light caramel sweetness backbone. Pretty basic but nothing earth shattering.

Very surprising palate. Creamy mouthfeel which makes for a nice richer malt sweetness and depth from first sip. Rushing tropical sweetness and bitter pineapple nicely accented with a light classic brown sugar flavor in the mid palate. Finishes quite fruity with a light small lingering hint of pine on the aftertaste as well.

Real good flavored new American hopped Mosaic IPA.

I greatly enjoyed this.

A - Lingering head, and who doesn't love head. Lighter side of copper coloring.

S - I get passion fruit and slight piney, in that order.

T - Taste sort of follows the direction of the aroma. As it warms up a bit, I feel like the piney flavors become a bit more prominent.

M - Carbonation seems right on point for this sort of IPA.

O - This beer reminds of of a piney version of something like Baxter Stowaway IPA. Very nice IPA I look forward to enjoying again.

Pint on tap in a shaker at Hella Good in Portland.

Appearance: Pours a mostly clear gold with a big frothy white head. Nice pour by the server.

Aroma: Very floral with some lemon and a touch of freshly cut grass.

Taste: Juicy, fruity IPA. Lots of grapefruit, lemon, maybe a tiny touch of mango. Some pine-type flavor and a bit of herbyness and spiciness.

Mouthfeel: Very drinkable. Great taco beer.

Overall: A winner from Some. Everything I want in an IPA. Juicy, sticky and hoppy. Good stuff.
