No date on the bottle...
Pours a huge 2.5 finger fizzy bubbly head that fades at a med pace, hazy nectar orange color, bubbly lacing.
Nose big hops, and immediately realized this is a mosaic heavy IPA which is unfortunate... lots of grassy earthy hops, big pine sap, piney like a pine tree on fire, with big dank resin, mild orange zest and tropical notes hidden in the back, some fruity aromas keep trying to come through but fail miserably. Even the mild sweet malty character stays muted, nothing can break past the walls of the mosaic pine resin and earthy grass.
Taste starts nice actually, a refreshing mild malt character with hint of sweetness, little toasty note, etc, and the hops start lightly at first, a little grassy flavor, touch fruity and floral even, but then suddenly like a summer downpour, the piney resin washes over, smothering everything in it's path, big spicy pine, earthy forest floor covered in burning pine needles, resin and burning grass just take over, big bitterness too. Sticky sap like finish, lingering pine tree sap and resin, with mild fruity notes and caramel that gets this icky bitter pine mixed in, like licking pine tree sap right off the tree.
Mouth is med bod, nice fluffy carb actually bordering too much carbonation.
Overall, eh, sigh, another IPA falls to the likes of mosaic. It's not the next Citra people! THis hop is terrible, I don't understand how people like it so much. Mosaic, destroyer of IPAs and everything good in a nice hoppy beer.

More or less reminded me of Grapefruit Sculpin but with an actual grapefruit hop aroma rather than as a flavor additive. As a result, I actually like it better than Grapefruit Sculpin!

Couldn't find a bottled date. Nice nose once the cap is popped - pine, fresh cut grass and orange rind. Taste is spruce, lemon zest, mandarin orange and herbal tea. The malt balances the hops to create a very well balanced IPA. Enjoyable and easy to drink.

Has been hard to get because of smallness of brewery but they have started canning it now and more readily available. Yea!!! For me it's their signature beer and worth it. One of the best IPA's from a Maine brewery and that's saying a lot

A very decent IPA with pine, citrus and tangerine notes. Sharp bitter bite and a respectable malt backbone make it different from the neighboring IPAs. Mouthfeel is both sharp upfront and soft in end.

16 oz. can dated 11/22/16
Pours hazy amber orange with a frothy white foam head. Smells like pineapple, passionfruit, guava, mango, nectarine, orange, grapefruit, lime, blueberry, toasted crackery malts, with dank resinous earthy pine and floral herbal grass. Tastes like pineapple, passionfruit, guava rind, mango, nectarine, orange, grapefruit, lime, blueberry, some toasted crackery malt, with dank resinous earthy pine and floral herbal grass. Feels medium bodied, thick and creamy with moderate low carbonation. Overall a really nice Mosaic-hopped IPA.

L: Pours a translucent straw gold with a slight bit of peach color depending on how the light hits it. Fresh as it gets but almost no head. The half finger one that did show receded almost instantly. Minimal lacing.
S: Malt and the slightest hint of hops. A very light nose.
T: I like this one. Aims for bitter over sweet. A simple malt and hop combo with grapefruit on the finish. While I usually prefer juice to the bitter side it's done really well here. If you want some bitter hops come and get them.
F: Bright carbonation that could be toned down slightly (although with no sweetness this might be the right match). Really dry finish that helps lend a crispness.
Overall I enjoyed trying this one. With so much sweetness in so many beers this was a nice crisp, hop bitter alternative for a change. Definitely tasted fresh. On the con side the lack of a real nose and head along with minimal lacing says to me there is work still to be done on this recipe.

Better than many here are giving it credit for. Easily trumps Goldilox and Crystal Persuasion when it comes to SoMe's hoppy offerings. Price was high around $9 for a bomber. Dark and turbid with a pungent, herbaceous nose. Hops come in warm for 6%, a bit syrupy in the sip but not in a way that detracts. Well brewed beer, kicking myself I didn't buy it sooner.

Poured from a 16 oz can into a pint glass. Canned on date was unreadable.
It has a satisfying, honey orange color that is clear and bubbly. Head is finger high with a tannish-white color. Aroma is of peach and pineapple with a hint of grapefruit, but not overpowering. I find the aroma a little muddled, maybe some breadiness coming in that dampens the brightness of the fruit hop tones. This carry over into the flavor profile as well, though I didn't sense it until the beer had warmed up a little. Mouth feel is somewhat thick and malty. The hearty bitterness and distinctive earthy Mosaic hop flavor kick in immediately and stay through to the end where a hint of pine comes through.
Make no mistake – this is a seriously hop-forward beer. I am really pleased with the balance this beer strikes between the malt backbone, bitterness and hop-flavor. A very drinkable beer for when you are looking for more serious IPA. I will pick this up again... doesn't hurt that its brewed the next town over.
