4th review. 1st from brewer. Thinking of cycling there.
a) Perfect amber hazed body with lasting, lacing head.
s) Orange/grapefruit marmalade and caramel malt.
t) Nice balance of fruit and malt, punchy, a bit of pine.
f) Excellent crisp and nicely peppered bitter finish.
o) I'm in favor of a visit!

Notes via stream of consciousness: Nice label graphics; silly name. It's poured a cloudy orange body beneath an inch or so of creamy off-white foam. Plenty of very fine bubbles can be seen rising steadily towards the surface within the orange murkiness. The aroma is fairly bright, offering floral, citrusy, and piney notes. On to the taste... well the aroma is a pretty good indicator of what you'll find but as usual there's more going on. I'm getting pine and otherwise woody notes, some earthiness, apricot, passion fruit, flowers, lemon/lime, grapefruit, orange, mango, and lychee. The pine and earthiness are pretty strong and linger in the finish as some citrus fades. The fruitiness is all over the board with certain notes appearing here and there depending on what sip you're on, and generally I prefer that in a beer because it tends to keep my attention whereas a beer that has one or two, or even three clear notes that are always there becomes a little redundant. The bitterness is firm, and perfectly balanced against the gently sweet and biscuity malt. There's a really nice, perfectly smooth arch from the front of the mouth, across the middle, and then all the way through to the last of the long-lingering finish. That's great balance. In the mouth it's medium to medium-light in body and remarkably smooth with a very fine-bubbled median carbonation that makes me think this might be naturally carbonated. It seems that way. Looking back, the head has held exceptionally well and there's some really nice, thick patches and rings of lace left behind. So, conclusion... this could certainly be fuller and/or brighter on the hop end but that would throw its beautiful balance out the window. There's no rule that an IPA has to be a hop bomb, and I appreciate that they've gone a little old school with this. It's really enjoyable, and I could easily see having two or even three of these in a row. Well done!

A hazy New England style IPA that has a lot of juice with little hop bite (though it does come through a little bit). My only gripe is that I wish that the individual flavors were a little more defined. What I mostly get from this beer is citrus, but I feel like there are some other components under it that seem to all get sort of lost in the mix. However, 609 is still a pretty tasty NEIPA that I've returned to on more than one occasion.

The 609 is a favorite of mine. It’s slighlty citrusy with a sweet taste. Full bodied leaving a clean after taste
