Pours to a thin white head that laces well. Deep amber color. Aroma is malty but with a hint of malt vinegar. Flavor is clean and malty. Nondescript grains. Mouthfeel a tad astringent. This is a miss.

On tap at McNellie's OKC. Pours a clear reddish brown with a slight creamy ivory head. Not much of an aroma, but there are notes of malt, caramel and dark fruit. On the tongue, you can detect some nice chocolate, leather, smoke and a touch of prune. Medium oily mouth that lets the bitterness linger for a while. I don't typically drink a lot of bitters, but this one is really good despite the lack of aroma.

Slightly dark for the style, smell is nice caremel malt, corn and light grassiness. Taste is a bit roasty and has an odd vegatle flavor. Nice light to medium body. This is just a bit odd for an esb, but not bad just differnt.

Not a fan. The first few sips were okay but struggled to finish the pint. I normally really like this style, but this one was rough.

First go at this newish local. On tap at McNellies.

Pours dark amber with some clarity. Has a tan froth. Smells of timid malts followed by the hops and light fruits, all subtle and knowing their place. Tastes grainy up front with fruit and hops following and the bitterness eventually taking over at the very back. Some chalk leftovers and light to medium in body. Nothing special here, but I suppose you have to start somewhere.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a Weizen glass. L: full two finger head fades slowly. Good lacing. Copper, clear, nice looking beer. S: toffee, barley sugar maltiness. Brown bread toast. T: herbal hops, bread maltiness presents after the bitters fade. F: crisp and dry. A bit more carbonation than necessary. O: Well balanced aroma and taste. Very good beer to enjoy year round. One of my more favorite ESB's.
