Awesome place for a tasty beverage. In So. Pines. They've moved to a much bigger location right around the corner from their old place.

Found this place while spending the night in Southern Pines. And what a find! Just a block of of the main street, The Southern Pines Growler Company is in a building on a corner, elevated off the street with a terrace overlooking the corner. I was there in the middle of the winter, but it was still mild enough to enjoy my beers outside. I can imagine in the Spring, Summer and Fall the patio is full, but on this occasion there was only two other tables occupied. There is indoor seating as well.
The beer selection on tap is just outstanding, and the server was quite knowledgable about beer. He asked me what I liked, let me sample a couple before I made my choice (which was hard to do with all the variety). There must have been 20-30 beers on tap, with some real gems. I opted to try local brews and had an excellent DIPA called Vehopciraptor from the Unknown Brewing Co based in Charlotte, NC ; and a tasty IPA called Dirty D from Starpoint Brewing in Chapel Hill, NC.
I would have liked to order several more, but I had a dinner engagement so I picked up a glass, and perused the fine selection of beers sold by the bottle, can, and six-pack; found a six from Southern Pines Brewing to take along. And they do Growler fills from all the taps! I wish I had a place like The Southern Pines Growler Company close to me, but I am happy to have found it!

Stopped in here on 4/1 and was very pleased. Very congenial folks with a decent offering of beers. We were travelling through the area at the time, otherwise this would be a regular stop. Keep up the good work guts !

Beer wise there is always something new on tap, and they maintain an eclectic variety of beers. You will never be able to not find something to sample or buy. They also have access to a lot of rare releases from local breweries, which is a huge plus.
They also recently started selling flights of beers and pints for consumption on premises. That's important because they also opened a bottle shop and homebrew shop so you can drink while you make your selections.
Overall the shop is a great addition to downtown Southern Pines.

This is a brand new growler bar right near downtown Southern Pines. The owner is friendly and knowledgeable and the beers on tap are usually very solid choices. However, they are also necessarily limited choices as well (30 choices and three growler types).
