A blonde ale with real blood oranges. A strong citrus aroma comes from blood orange purée added during fermentation and the choice of citrusy hops. The combination of sweet, bitter and slightly tart flavors make it a balanced, light bodied beer.

I'm a fan of this one. Tastes almost like a blood-orange wit; the citrus balances the beer quite well.

Definitely one of my least favorite St. A regulars. To me, this is a beer that has no idea what it wants to be, so it tries to be everything. The blood orange taste seems off, feels like someone hit the carbonation level for a little too long, and overall, the different characteristics seems to compete rather than balance each other.

L- Decent looking ale. Pours a lively body with plenty of bubbles. A decent sized head follows. The beer is not overly full, but it's rocky and pleasing to the eye. The bubbles are keep the look interesting.
S- The smell is okay . Slightly malty and hoppy, with some nice orange aroma. A bit funky too.
T- A little tart, a little bitter, some orange. Not very impressed. Not complex at all. Not even very fresh refreshing.
F-Okaycarbonation.
O- A sub par summer ale. Kind of a junk beer.

1" white head with very good retention on a hazy, pale gold blonde ale. The head sticks at a foamy 1/4" and holds, leaves behind fresh lacing.
Appealing nose of orange, scratch an orange peel to smell the fresh, minerally citrus aroma represented here.
Oranges, lemon, light sweet malt with an almost vanilla undertone...i.e. creamsicle.
Slight tartness that's refreshing. Light body, medium to high carbonation. Medium length finish carried by the tart citrus.
Easy Texas summer pounder.

Nabbed a sixer in Austin as part of a sale.
I don't get blood orange...just artificial orange creamsicle. It's pretty off-putting. Too sweet. Metallic off-flavour throughout.
Wickedly overcarbonated to the point of feeling sharp and biting on the palate. Unrefreshing as a result. Thick and filling. It's a bit sickening, truth be told.
I'd take Ballantine XXX over this even if the former was more expensive. Some of Saint Arnold's worst work to date.
High F (1.71) / AVOID
