Thanks to leftpaw for bringing this out awhile back. 12oz bottle if I recall correctly. Pours equal parts dark brown and black, tan head 1/2". This one pushed a hefty dose of bourbon through the nose. Either a long barrel aging period or some wet barrels, maybe both. Either way, a boozy heft of alcohol came through, then after that you could search for the lesser amounts of bourbon, charred oak and roasted malt.
Taste, not as boozy as the nose, they seem to have it dialed in nicely where there is a strong presence of bourbon still but it isn't the alcohol that dominates, there is a unsweetened roasted malt and toffee character to it. The base is a nice not overly thick or sludgy aspect. While it doesn't rise to the elite tier level of a Central Waters, it does do many things similar to their bourbon barrel stout, namely, a nice not overly bitter or thick stout to showcase the bourbon barrel. The earthy barrel notes are big but not overpowering or draped with an asphalt like thickness. Would bang again.

Got my hands on a bottle of this at Cedar Creek in Houston.
As far as Bourbon goes, I'm not a huge fan. However, mixing the 2 together in this instance was pretty amazing. Very boozy, with the smell of bourbon and vanilla punching your nostrils. The mouthfeel was quite creamy and thick; thicker than I expected. It tasted much sweeter and the chocolate/vanilla really came through. Great beer, would definitely enjoy another bottle of this.
