Had a bottle on 11/18/10 from a six pack that I picked up on the release day of 11/2/10. Good ol' one offs. Served in a Great Divide balloon glass.
The beer poured a rich and clear ruby. There was little to no head, even with a vigorous pour. Whatever there was quickly dissipated to leave a clean surface. Guess that's to be expected with this kind of ABV.
The nose is... just sweet. Some booze, too. Not overly enticing.
The taste leaves something to be desired. The sweetness and booze dominate and I'm having a tough time picking up any extra complexity. I've had a few of these beers and the quality has widely varied. Some were great, but many were mediocre.
Despite these flaws, the weight of the beer in my mouth is pretty darned good. Might help if it wasn't so hot... but still enjoyable.
This beer is hot and the quality is variable, but I've still had more than a few this month. Hopefully it mellows with some age. Not the best, but I guess these DRs aren't known for much more than their adventurousness.

Sweet caramel malt driven backbone. Some candies dark fruits. Lots of sweetness in this one. Minimal bitterness. Carbonation is minimal but just enough to keep it lively.

12oz screwtop bottle poured into a snifter. This bottle has a little over 4yrs of age on it at this point.
A - Pours a muddy/hazy medium brown with some yeast floating around the glass. Bottle opens with hardly a whisper of carbonation and the pour shows similar traits with no cap of foam forming and hardly even a collar around the edge of the glass...no lacing.
S - Raisins up front pretty intensely, a bit of a white wine grapey-ness also. Lots of toffee and brown sugar...sweet and malty overall. Lots of esters, a hint of astringency, traces of butter and vanilla.
T - Sweet, brown sugar, buttery and rather boozy up front. Mild hop bitterness offsets the sweetness in the middle. Caramel, traces of molasses mix in also.
F - Medium body, low carbonation, a bit boozy...pretty standard stuff for the style.
O - Solid but not especially impressive. Didn't have any of this fresh so can't really compare this fairly well aged bottle. Worth trying if you can still find a bottle around.
