I had big expectations due it’s reputation but it was...not good. Don’t know if I just don’t like pumpkin beers but I didn’t like this one.

Good punkin brew.. smells a bit like a yankee candle, but that'll make you feel wrapped in holiday cheer. Overall, doesn't taste like a pumpkin pie, but good spice.

Had the 2017 edition poured from large bottle. The look was a little darker than expected but was good. Not much to the smell, which was disappointing. Tasted boozy even for a beer that comes in at its ABV. Overall I won't have it again.

First off, I am not a pumpkin fan. The bottle says 2016, it poured a very dark coffee color with a very slight medium dark head that goes away immediately. The first smells that I detected was cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg. I couldn’t really smell pumpkin. It has very little carbonation. Almost tastes flat. I could not taste any pumpkin (not a bad thing since I don’t like it). It’s strong at 11% but I couldn’t really taste the alcohol. I started with it cold from the fridge but it seems to get more flavorful as it warms. You really taste the cinnamon and clove with some what of a licorice flavor, to me at least. It’s not sweet but it reminds you of things that are. It will definitely remind you of thanksgiving. The abv will sneak up on you so beware. It hits you like a giant pumpkin hammer. My wife had about 4 or 5 oz and I drank the rest of the bomber over an hour. It’s a nice seasonal brew, I’ll get another to have if we ever get some cold weather.

A high-quality pumpkin seasonal, as evidenced by their Gold medal at 2017 GABF. Pumpkinator takes a less common approach by being a pumpkin stout, and it's relatively spice-forward. This won't necessarily be to everyone's taste, but it is definitely one of the best executed pumpkin beers that aims for the pie crowd rather than the autumn gourd concept.

Deep dark brown-bodied pour, moderate head, nice lacing & a rich silky appearance.
Smells like pumpkin spice, alcohol and a hint of vanilla, & in that order.
Taste is molasses and caramel, a sweet core to this beer, then with nutmeg/ pumpkin spice, cinnamon, and some vanilla spice caps it off. Then I pick up some burnt graham cracker/ some char.
Feel is silky smooth, fluffy-medium, nice stuff.
Complex flavor, and much nicer than I expected based on the initial aroma of it.
One of the best pumpkin beers I've ever had...safely a top 3.

The appearance had a dark black almost brown color with no head in the snifter but a two fingered white head in the pint glass, am I arguing - no way, its all good (fit happy looking emoticon right here, right now). The lacing is a bit to be desired in snifter, but the pint glass, wow - nice clinging effect gracing ever so nicely. The smell had pumpkin up front graced with a nice allspice and ginger sort of background (sweet yet a spicy of sorts) and a decent roasty coffee yet almost leading to a fairly good chocolate of sorts in the aroma. The taste was sweet but a pumpkin-ness of sorts spiciness flavoring. The aftertaste is a bit misleading as there’s a super amount of Pumpkin coming through helping to overtake the stout-like features of this brew. There is a dry spicy finish. On the palate, it sits about a medium on the body and leaves a decent coating of pumpkin sweetness clinging to the mouth and tongue. Carbonation is good for the style of a Double Stout and is still good to me. Overall, spectacular pumpkin flavored Imperial Stout that I would have again.
