When visiting a friend in Houston we went to St Arnold. It has a very nice space inside. Long tables. Pay for a glass and get four tasters. Each is about 8oz which is great, and you keep the glass which is a small bonus. You can also bring food in as we did. We brought in some stuff from the food truck parked outside. Beer is mostly good. They have a couple very nice beers like Endeavor and fancy lawnmower. No table service so I couldn't speak for that but the bar service was very good and quick since lines form fast and are constant especially on a Saturday. Selection is pretty good with about six regular beers on tap as well as a seasonal and some special offerings.
Overall, a great place in Houston worth checking out and returning too.

Stopped by during Houston beer safari. Great Munich like beer hall. Common shared tables. Good people and very good service.
Food was diverse, interesting and delicious. Had the Crawfish roll sandwich and fries. Fabulous. Beer selection was very good overall...but apparently a recent rare beer celebration had left some just amazing Bishop's Barrel and Divine Inspiration beers available...and on cask! Throw in some BB bottles...and it was just a world class stop. Highly recommended!

Checked in on my girl's birthday, got a free glass for the occasion! Got two classic beer packages, 10 bucks a piece, comes with four 8 oz pours of the normal selection. Endeavour costs 2 tokens. Beer on tap is noticeably more fresh and amazing then what I'm used to purchasing bottles. Most professional environment perhaps out of every brewery I've seen, which this makes two now lol. Food is on point, fresh as the dranks which is saying something. Fries and chicken sandwich on point dawg so real. I have enjoyed Art Car, Elissa, Weedwacker, Summer Pils, 5 o'clock Pils, Coffee Porter and more here, more to come soon. Nothing is really bad whatsoever. Chill music.

A Houston mainstay, St. Arnolds has been around for a good while, and it shows in all the best ways.

The main taproom is a wonderful German bierhall inspired experience, with long solid tables buffeted with good quality benches, usually full of people enjoying the beer, food, and eachother's company. One of the best places in Houston for tabletop gaming as well, with more than enough room and ample refreshments as well.

The tapwall itself showcases St. Arnolds wide array of styles, with practically all of their current beers on offer. When I went around 3 or so months back, they had most of their recent seasonal brews on tap, along with the usual commercially available beers, and an interesting cask ale style beer hand pulled from a few available barrels.

Alongside this tapwall is a small counter for ordering food, with a relatively limited but good quality menu available. They have the requisite giant pretzel, along with burgers, brats, and some mexican inspired dishes such as a barbacoa taco. The pretzel was delicious, as was my gf's burger, while the tacos were a little bland and lacking. It's not bad for a taproom's cafe, but compared to offerings over at Karbach it pales a little bit.

The tour was interesting as well, with a few well informed tour guides covering the history of the brewery, showcasing the brewing tanks, and taking the crowd down to the holding tank floor. It has sadly been hemmed back a little in recent years due to their expansion and higher utilization of the tank floor, but it's still an interesting experience.

It's a destination you can't miss if you're in the area, if for nothing more than checking out Texas's oldest craft brewery and enjoying some old world ambiance. A great experience in the Houston area for sure.

I must admit, this place is where I fell in love with beer, so my opinion may be a little biased. Comfortable spot, friendly folks, and lots of beer. You are sure to find something you like.

I have a great time every time I end up here.

The lunch is generally always superb. They usually have something unique on tap or some of their more rare bottles available.

The events they throw here are always really well done. Saint Arnold and Karbach are well ahead of the others in town in regards to how nice their taproom and environment are.
