Awesome beer store inside an otherwise unsuspecting convenience store. These guys know what they're doing, and their prices are some of the best I've found in Austin. Do yourself a favor and drive a few miles south of Lamar to this hidden gem on SWP.

vibe: 4 | quality: 4.75 | service: 4.25 | selection: 4.5 a convenient store! Such a fantastic selection! I recently scored some Saint Arnold's Bishops Barrel #8 and Praire's Funk Gold Amarillo! I just wish it was closer to my place! And it's open later than most package stores with a fantastic selection!

BA told me this is the best beer store in Austin, so there I went looking for Jester King El Cedro. The joint is out of the way, in a strip mall in a smaller road a good amount of miles northwest of the Congress area. I was surprised when I got there, because “the best beer store in Austin” is just a convenience store with a couple of shelves filled with good beer.

Really good beer indeed! Brewdog Tokio, Cocoa Psycho and Paradox, Harviestoun, Mikkeller (Black Hole!), To Ol, Jester King, seven or eight different Dogfish bombers and pretty much every imperial stout and weird beer Clown Shoes has out there these days (including their new, Texas-only, mesquite-smoked imperial stout).

The friendly Indian guy (owner?) knows his beer and I had a good time chatting with him. Definitely recommended.

Visited on a trip to Austin. Very nice selection of stuff--much more than I expected. Sucks that Texas makes it so hard to serve in a bottle shop--no doubt there would be good taps here. Great selection of Belgian stuff. Guys behind the counter helpful without getting in the way. They do keep some of the better stuff off the shelves. Best place in Austin I've found for bottles.

This used to be a nice place that was off the beaten path and got a really great selection. However, since they've become more popular, they no longer let people know when they get the good stuff because it's held for other people. It's a shame. I like supporting small business but I don't support shady practices like that. If they start playing fair, I'll revise my rating, but until then, I'll stick with Specs. They're cheaper anyway.

This place is the bomb. Southwest Parkway Market, my favorite shop in the city. Each and every time I walk in the door I am instantly greeted by mike & firdosh more than willing to help steer me in any direction I may be leaning and fill me in on the latest beer happenings , The selection is very well thought out with the newest releases, top notch imports, and classic favorites stocking the shelves and coolers. I need a shopping cart

I'm based in Richmond, VA, but this is my secret spot for picking up the best, hardest-to-find beers whenever I visit my family in Austin. Tucked away on SW Parkway not far from Mopac, you'd never suspect to find such a goldmine in this little shopping strip. But definitely do yourself a favor and swing by. The guys here are incredibly friendly, and they always have something new to share.

These guys are great. This shop gets all the best releases and knows how to take care of regular customers. They are my main beer store.

On a side note, they also hooked my up with Caduceus wine. Very good at getting what you need.
