Enjoyed at the brewery a few weeks ago with rudzud.

light fizzy head, touch of lacing, hazy murky blond orange.

Nose nice, crazy wheat, little cracked toasted wheat, light citrus, mild estery fruit and phenol spices, hint of candied banana,

Taste brings mild sweetness, big creamy wheat, juicy creamy wheat, hint cracked toasted, nice juicy orange, orange cream, mild fruity esters, hint spices, little bubblegum esters, nice mild floral hop bitterness. Dry finish, touch more yeast and nice lingering orange cream, touch bitterness.

Mouth is med bod, creamy, nice carb.

Overall very nice, juicy creamy very enjoyable hefe.

A- Becher pour from the draft with a hazy golden-orange body and a creamy white head. The cap peaks at two fingers with good retention dying to a medium belt around the top of the liquid. Small webs of lace decorate the glass.

S- Light hints of banana and phenol lead it off with lemon, pear and general spiciness taking over. A hint of vanilla sweets and grainy wheat in the backdrop.

T- The styles characteristic clove and banana take over a bit more but there is still a substantial note of lemons and zesty peel. The banana and clove notes are smooth and pleasant and play off the bready wheat grains better here than in the aroma, more rounded out here.

MF- A medium-light body with a fluffy and creamy silkiness that stems from the long chain wheat donations. High end zesty crisp carbonation and a light herbal bitter finish.

A solid across the pond Gefe with a pleasant balance of the phenols, esters and grains. Lemon hint is just a bit too hefty for the beers balance.

Enjoyed at the brewery on a beerventure through Maine with JLindros. Reviewed from notes.

A - Poured into a standard pint glass a lightly cloudy darker golden hue with a fluffy one finger head that fades quickly to leave a nice blanket.

S - Aromas nice wheat, lemons, creamy, little bit of spice.

T - Taste is similar to the nose, creamy wheat, light lemon, little dry, not that sweet, Nice light spices. Bubblegum fruity esters.

M - Mouthfeel is lightly carbonated clean.

O - Overall this beer was really tasty and true to style.

On tap at the brewery.

Pours pretty standard for a hefe--dark gold, decent white head. Smells of medium-strength bananas and pepper. Again, pretty standard.

Tastes, once more, pretty standard. Pepper moving into bananas getting more intense as the sip progresses. Very smooth and delicate throughout.

Not much to say: a solid beer for sure, but nothing when compared to their flagship porter. Which, yeah, I know they're two entirely different styles of beer, but unless you're some of hefe nut who absolutely despises porters, this is the one you're going to want to go with.

Poured into a Tributary glass at Cornerstone Pizza in Ogunquit. Hazy and cloudy like a Hefe should be. Minimal head that fades out quick leaving just a little lacing around the glass edge. Mouthfeel is smooth and buttery. Taste is initially crisp and clean then finishes with subtle banana. Overall a solid Hefe that isn't as sweet and syrupy as others which makes this a more versatile beer. Very drinkable.
