Pours into my Hennepin stemmed glass a slight chill hazed copper/bronze with a very thin head atop.Very yeasty in the nose giving off clove and pear notes,I detect funk wich should not be in a true beer of the style.Slighty sour and lactic melding into spiced pears and green apples, not much sweetness with a bit of that "funk" i the finish. The true northern French beers have a big malt base with lower hops but not much funk to them,to many brewers wanna brew Belgian Saisons and call them Biere De Garde's wich they are not!Sorry had to rant there.

Coppery-gold in color with a nice sized orange tinted white head. The lace shifts around by way of patchy spots as you drink. Aroma is sweet and toasty with bright fruity yeast esters, floral scents, and clove spice. Nice clean aromas, but prominently yeasty. Taste is good. Bock-like nutty maltiness, light caramel, fruit, tart apples, farmy floral, zesty spice, anise, nutmeg, all leading into a powdery dryness. Mouthfeel is a touch syrupy, smooth, chalky.

This beer is pretty good. Could use some fine tuning... I certainly think this new brewery has potential.

Slightly hazy deep gold topped by a small, sudsy head that dissipates to a thin creamy ring. Spiced apple ester, nutty aromas and some licorice and clove. Lots of yeastiness upfront in the flavor with a nice toasty, nutty maltiness underneath - but the problem is that it's completely buried. If they can rein in the yeast a bit, this will fit the style somewhat better. This still has a "homebrewish" quality that will probably diminish once they dial in the recipe and get more comfortable. Medium bodied and creamy smooth - could use some increased dryness in the finish. I'll revisit this in the future for sure...

Copper colored beer with a white head that mostly fades but remains around the edges. The aroma is malty sweet with a big blast of Belgian yeast followed by flowers and cloves. The taste is the same as the nose with a nice sweetness then tastes of yeast, toast, flowers, fruit and a spicy bitterness. This is a really tasty beer.

Nice clear, Amber color. Mild head with a nice carbonation. Sweet malty opening with clove and fig/pear components. Drying hop at the end.

Poured from a tall boy into a snifter, the beer is a slightly hazed, vibrant, deep copper coloring with solid carbonation bubbling throughout the body. Aromas of rich caramel, cloves, fig, dates, licorice, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Very sweet and spiced. Flavors are rich old world fruit and caramel forward, heavy on date, fig, apple, and pear, with a solid spice profile of clove and nutmeg. Some rich highlights of vanilla, almond, and toffee. Very dynamic palate. Rich, slick body, with a fruity and spiced aftertaste like a booze laced fruitcake. The finish is slick, slightly effervesced, and crisp. Really solid beer!

Weak head, maybe a third of a finger and it dissipates swiftly leaving the surface naked, no lacing whatsoever. The liquid is a coppery orange, crystal clear with full transparency, the few visible bubbles scattered throughout, pleasing shine to it. The nose has a smooth malt base to it which is not excessively sweet, a touch grapey with fruitcake notes, some clove to nutmeg, more lemony as you continue to sip, mildly floral, overall it comes off as more neutral than yeasty. Medium-bodied with good firmness which keeps the texture consistent start to finish, attractive level of dryness contributes to a fresh appeal, hints at grassiness more than delivers. That said, there is a light earthiness and metallic aspect which stunts the sweeter spiciness. Carbonation is average, nothing to remark upon. More lemon to sour orange citrus, the fruit a cleaner blend of white grape, apricot, apple and fig. More bready than yeasty, spicy rye pokes through. Perhaps becomes mustier as it warms, the good kind of outdoorsy funk. Leaves you happy with the whole being greater than the sum of the parts.
