Notes:
This golden colored ale is the Pig Pounder take on an English classic pub ale. Hints of malty caramel and bread are balanced by a very modest hop addition, and complimented by an aroma of sweet fruit and floral notes. The overall light body, and low ABV makes this a highly sessionable English style ale.

A: Pours a clear copper in color with light amounts of active visible carbonation rising from the bottom of the glass and some faint burnt orange highlights. The beer has a quarter finger tall foamy white head that reduces to a medium to large sized patch of very thin film and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Light amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Light aromas of caramel + bready malts, fruity yeast, and floral hops.
T: Upfront there are moderate flavors of bready malts with a light to moderate flavor of caramel malts adding a light amount of sweetness. That is followed by light flavors of light fruit (apple/pear) yeast and floral hops. The hops contribute a light amount of bitterness which fades away pretty quickly.
M: Slightly heavier than light bodied with slightly heavier than moderate amounts of carbonation.
O: Easy to drink and enjoyable, reminds me of sitting in a pub in England. Definitely one to have on my next visit.

On-tap at Pig Pounder Brewery, Greensboro, NC
A: The beer is crystal clear amber in color and has a light amount of carbonation. It poured with a short white head that faded away and left a thin ring around the edge of the glass.
S: Light aromas of fruity yeast are present in the nose.
T: The taste has flavors of caramel and toffee malts along with bits of associated sweetness and notes of floral hops.
M: It feels just about medium-bodied on the palate and is a little smooth with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: The beer is easy to drink - it's malty without being sweet and has a pleasant mouthfeel.

Poured on-tap at the brewery and served in a shaker pint, the beer is a crystal clear, golden caramel coloring, with a thin, clingy, off-white head. Nose of bread, subtle caramel, and toasted notes. Flavors are tangy sweet forward, with caramel and subtle floral hops notes. Smooth and light, with a subtle caramel sweet aftertaste. The finish is smooth, but there really is not much there.
