Gifted to me at Christmas, and even though milk stouts are not my favorite I liked it enough to go buy another just to confirm first impressions and get fodder for this review. Pours black with just a hint of mahogany red when viewed with the right backlighting. Nice head that dissipates in a few minutes leaving a thin film covering about 85% of the beer surface. Yes, I get the marshmallow on nose and taste, accompanies by some nice roasted malt. I like the mouthfeel...not sure if it is the lactose or what, but it is on the heavier viscosity side of a lot of the milk stouts I have had. Overall one of the better milk stouts I have had....but then again I am a fan of "flavored" stouts and although subtle, this marshmallow offering hits the mark.

Dark brown with 3 fingers of fluffy beige head.
Smells of cake batter, cocoa, sweet and root beer like.
The taste follows the nose.
Medium body with moderate, fluffy carbonation.
I got this in Escondido, CA, and am drinking it in Redding, Dec 1st, 2020.

Dark, rich milk stout. Has the expected mouth feel and a little sweet punch on the tongue. Chocolatey/Coffee overtones with a nice roasted marshmallow finish. Just a delicious stout - I ordered a second for dessert after a huge Italian dinner! Both draft pours. Only thing keeping this from a 4.75+ is not a nitro - that would put it over the top for me. Excellent stout. Will get again for sure.
