Big thanks to Premo88 for this delicious Texas treat!

Pours a slightly cloudy gold topped by huge white foam head that only gradually kicks back to frothy cap that lasts. Thick lace clings as head recedes.

Med. strength aroma, with grassy hops and biscuity malt leading the way. A general citrus and lighter spicy note play supporting roles, and, with a touch of even lighter neutral sweet, make a very tasty bouquet. As it warms mosaic hop funk begins to appear in the aroma. Nice.

Med. strength taste. It's a well blended taste, but main players in the mix are crisp, slightly sweet grain, and pithy bitter, with hop funk, grass, grapefruit, lemon, and an earthy spice also players in the blend. End of sip gets a bit of rooty bitter to join the pithy note and dry it nicely.

A bit overcarb'ed that gives a touch of carbonic edge to the finish, full bodied, refreshing, highly viscous for style, and a finish that has a bit of resin build up.

Tasty brew I am enjoying very much. I would not turn down another. Consider it a pale ale worth a try.

12 oz. can poured into mug
("2640628" printed on tag on six-pack plastic ring — possibly June 28 born-on date?)

L: misty yellow-gold, topped by about half an inch of offwhite/beige foam that sticks at the top; light lacing; about 50-70% clear

S: grapefruit, grapefruit peel, pico de gallo heavy on the cilantro; some sweetness from malt but hops provide the main show

T: much sweeter than the nose, bread malt outpacing the citrusy hops; grapefruit, orange; light earthy bitterness in the aftertaste; as it warms the hops (of all things?) begin catching up to the malt, growing more earthy in the vein of citrus peel and bitter grapefruit

F: prickly midweight

O: good pale ale with enough malt to give it some heft

a mosaic driven brew thats mighty tasty. i had never heard of these guys before my recent trip to texas and ended up liking all of their beers, even loving a couple of them. this is fresh and pale and new school, dry hoppy and a nice expression of the mosaic hop. mostly clear brassy golden color to this one and a short white head but a massive nose of canned pineapple, lemongrass, and tangerine, super fresh on the hops and very forward, and all of the fruitiness comes through in taste, especially over such a light malt body, the hops really stand out. the bitterness is very low, but the linger at the end is long, oily and fresh, tropical and light, very appealing in the hot summer weather down here. notes of kiwi fruit and lime too, maybe something other than just mosaic, but its mosaic driven to my tastes for sure. good carbonation, lighter medium body, and radiant freshness. not quite as dynamic as the other hoppy beers i had from these guys, but this is pretty darn tasty pale ale, super drinkable and bright! yum.

It looks good, hazy gold with medium white head. Not much in the smell department. Taste is typical apa but with a noticeable sourish dry finish. I don’t see a date on the can, perhaps it’s a little old. It needs more body to me. It’s ok, not my favorite.

CAN:

Plays brilliantly to Mosaic's strengths, hitting overtly on Mosaic's signature blueberry note. A bit simple, but enjoyable.

This is a very tasty beer! Poured from a can into a pint glass. Slightly cloudy bright yellow with a light head but nice lacing. Wonderful citrus smell and taste. Fresh pine and nice back bitterness. Something I will get again.

Smells immediately of mosaic hops. Taste is a bit more muted, but still quite hoppy. With the smash mosaics that are readily available around tx, it's kind of hard to compete but I don't think that was the idea anyway. It's a refreshing pale ale with some nice character.

Drank at brewery. Pours a cloudy golden color with a small foamy head. Head retention is mild. Lacing is good. Has a good piney aroma with some citrus in the background. Good hoppy taste. Bittery with some pine and citrus. Taste fresh. Light bodied with moderate carbonation.

Poured from a can into a pilsner glass.
Look: Pale golden color, large thick head (probably because of my aggressive pour).
Smell: Lots of citrus, hops, and pine
Taste: Follows the nose. Immediate burst of mosaic hops. Lots of orange and grapefruit peel and plenty of pine.
Feel: Nice dry, piney mouthfeel
Overall: 90/100 great beer, will keep looking for it around town. If you are a fan of pale ales, give this a try.
