Pours an effervescent & ever-so sightly hazed gold with 2+ fingers of rocky ivory colored head. Stays hazed. Stellar lacing & above average head retention

S: Weedy, some breadyness once warm

T: Pretty catty, dry, a little sweet breadyness, a little pine up front. Bready sweetness builds as this warms, along with grapefruit & orange peel & assertive dryness. Finishes dry with a little green melon, pine, cattyness, orange & grapefruit

MF: Medium body, restrained carbonatonation, nice balance

Very nice West Coast DIPA that delivers on flavor & has darn good drinkability

This is a really nice DIPA with four different kinds of hops and IBU = 80. It has a lot of flavor and it is complex, yet very drinkable. I think it is a top notch DIPA.

Look: Amber with a thin white head

Aroma: grapefruit, floral hops / pine resin

Flavor: It has some maltiness, caramel, as well as fruit flavors, grapefruit, pineapple, mango, and a significant pine resin flavor at the end.

Feel: light to medium body with some creaminess

Wow this is an incredible imperial IPA. Smooth, crisp, flavorful, bold, well-balanced. I am really learning to trust all of this brewery’s offerings. Looks absolutely outstanding - pours a very nice light amber-gold color with some white fluffy head and glorious sheets of lingering lacing that last forever. I enjoyed the beer over a 30 minute period and the lacing never dissipated. Smells very nice, mainly citrus zest and piney hops with some more distant floral hops in the background. The malt and caramel aromas are also very present. Taste follows the nose, and the fruit mainly consists of grapefruit, orange, lemon, pineapple, tangerine and passion fruit. Very well-balanced sweeter malt backbone, vanilla, caramel, piney hops and floral hops. Smooth, crisp, delicious mouthfeel with a slight amount of creaminess. Perfect amount of carbonation. I don’t remember enjoying a double IPA anytime recently as much as I enjoyed this one. A small amount of warming alcohol. Absolutely delicious and the higher ABV is fairly undetectable.

Poured from fridge temp into a Bottle Logic teku. Looks is transparent orange with white head. Bubbles stick around. Nose is resin, wheat, orange, bread, and tree sap. Taste follows the nose. Not a crazy special IPA, but really good. Solid notes of orange peel, pine, hoppy bitterness, sap, candy, and a bit of syrup. Mouthfeel is a bit thicker than other IPAs, with a lingering aftertaste. Overall, a pretty good IPA.

Beer shop guy said “try this” and I’m glad he did. Delicious biscuity base with a nuanced hop presence, nice persistence and looks great in the glass. Mosaic hops usually don’t taste like much more than a hoppy presence to me, but in this case the blend has great depth.

22oz bottle into a pint glass.

Clearish straw orange body frothy white head . Good retention and lacing.

Floral and resinous aromas. Lightly sweet honey and citrus hops on the tongue. Slightly zesty hop bitterness on the finish. Easy drinker for 9%

No bottled on date, grabbed it at my local Bristol Farms.

Pours a gold-flecked Orange, almost more like a burnt umber. A good three finger head of frothy white foam that’s slow to bubble away, leaving a good residual lace.

The nose hits your right away with strong citrus and malt, and as it fades you get that resinous pine aroma. This one so far has all the makings of an ideal West Coast IPA.

A very good balance again of malt and sweet citrus rind. The hops hit in the back, and settle in simply as an afterthought to balance the subtly tropical, citrusy, malty symphony of flavors. Finishes with a good amount of residual bitterness.

It’s got a low but even carb, and actually drinks very softly. There is a light resinous film left behind with a little bit of stickiness, but the body on this is great.

650ml bottle, undated, poured into a Bottle Logic Stasis Project snifter glass. Enjoyed on 8.23.17, reviewed from Tasting Journal.

The beer pours a dark copper color, light chill haze but good clarity with a bubbly white head, about two fingers tall that has solid retention and spotted lace. The aroma is nice, assertive resinous pine, bitter and earthy with lots of amber malt, strong caramel grains with some tangy citrus peel and a nice grapefruit aroma. The flavors are good, very malt forward, strong caramel and amber grains, strong pine, grapefruit juice and tangy and bitter rind, a bit spicy with some candied fruits as well, lightly sweet and with some alcohol heat. The mouthfeel is good, coating with a lively medium body that is crisp and smooth and finishes dryly and warmly.

Verdict: A nice DIPA from Bottle Logic. A more traditional West Coast IPA, perhaps more malty than it needs to be, but a very clean example of what American IPAs were born from and still a fine beer to drink. It's not conforming to the current fads, but it hits the spot when you need a big, hoppy, bitter beer.
