Very dark & headless. Aroma: berries, vanilla, bourbon; very pretty. Bitter-tart. Flavors: a solid stout base with raspberries, chocolate covered cherries, not much of the bourbon. Nice, smooth feel with some stomach heat. Overall: if the bitterness was toned down a little & maybe a pinch more sweetness this could be one of my favorites.

2026 release. Poured into a tumbler at 57°. It pours oily black. The dark mocha head fizzled away almost immediately. It has a delightful smell featuring chocolate, coffee, caramel, and fresh raspberry. Initially, the taste is very sweet with syrupy, ripe raspberry over rich, dark chocolate and earthy malt. The Buffalo Trace Bourbon notes are surprisingly subtle. However, as the Stout breathes in the glass the raspberry becomes more tart and blends better with the other flavors. It has a pleasant mouth feel - not overly viscous, and the elevated ABV (this vintage is 14%) is well-hidden. Overall, as I would expect from Bottle Logic, Jam the Radar is very well crafted and flavorful. It is very much raspberry-forward and I would not recommend it to someone who doesn't like that flavor.

500 ml bottle, 2025 release, label says 12.5% ABV. Served in a chalice, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch tan head that slowly fizzled away. Small amount of lacing. The brew smells like cacao nibs, bourbon, vanilla, roasted malt, oak and some raspberries. Taste is pretty much just like the aroma, but with all the flavors being pretty well balanced. No one flavor overpowers the others here. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's coating and a bit creamy with a moderate amount of carbonation. I liked this one overall, but I wish the barrel had a little more of a kick here. Certainly worth picking up if you get the chance!

Appearance: Pours pitch blak with a tan film that quickly fades to a collar; leggy with a little lacing around the edge of the liquid line

Smell: Raspberry jam-filled chocolate truffle aromatics with a dose of Bourbon; hints of caramel and roasted malt

Taste: Bourbon-laced rasperry jam-filled chocolate truffles forward with both sweet and tart raspberry elements building; through the middle; oak, caramel and some char impact, after the swallow, with some alcohol burn in the finish

Mouthfeel: Full bodied with low carbonation; some warmth in the gullet

Overall: This imperial stout has a lot going for it but you have to like fruited stouts and I am moving away from that style

Look - Pours a dark black color with a decent head.

Smell - Has a very nice raspberry smell that dominates the nose.

Taste - Raspberry, Bourbon, and a hint of cacao.

Feel - Good carbonation, creamy, and surprisingly good.

Overall - I honestly didn't expect to like this beer, but it’s damn good!
