Horadric Red Ale is a Bourbon Barrel Aged Red, worthy of any mortal who's ever hunted a soulstone. Aromas of sweet caramel malt, soft vanilla and mild coconut herald rich caramel flavor with gleaming notes of dark fruit.

Deep dark amber with tan film that goes to no head. 3.75
Cherry, booze, vanilla. 4
Dark sugars, dried cranberries, whack of vanilla, then a flurry of barleywine notes and mellow wood to end. 4.25
Medium+, chewy, smooth. 4.25
ABV kills the head, and a might hit of whiskey on the nose. Berry notes throughout - drinks like a liqueur. Imperial Red is unusual enough as a style that I wish I knew the base beer (i.e. before BA’ing.) Still, considerable. 4.25

A most excellent beer, nose full of bourbon, palate starts with vanilla and transitions to a more nuanced malt caramel sweetness with only a very slight hint of sour and a lingering alcohol heat. The flavor profile emphasizes the imperial and barrel aged more than the red - definitely for fans of old ales and BA English barleywines.

A: very deep mahagonay. Almost brown. Deep ink hue. Small pancake bubbles.
S: hops. Booze. Dates. Bourbon. Charred vanilla. Toffee. Oak.
T: vanilla. Booze. Oak. Bourbon. Sweet caramel. Vanilla extract. Figs. Candied orange peel. Resin.
F: medium minus body. Coating is nice. Crisp boozy bite
O: this is nice. Good balance. But for $25 a bottle I find this grossly overpriced.
