Poured into a snifter. Opaque dark brown color with a small tan head. Aroma: rich chocolate, tart cherries, oak, vanilla. Taste: as expected with huge chocolatey roasted grain, tart cherries, red wine, vanilla, and oak barrel. Full bodied and easy to drink. Delicious.

Dull and dirty 8 ball black with a tall but airy mocha foam settling to a thin blanket with a thick collar.

Smell is nutty dark chocolate roasted malt with peppery, sweet mapled port barrel and tangy but faint cherry enveloped by dark charred wood.

Tingly, tangy flavors of sweet roast intermingle with spicy, peppery bourbon-like barrel and cherry that makes this more like an old fashioned than a cherry cordial, which isn't a bad thing actually. Smoky charred oak develops along side cocoa-dusted nuts before a raisin and date exhale.

A crisp, crackly fizz runs through a medium-light cola-like body that has a sticky finish.

Tried from the bottle at Ladyface 8th Anniversary Invitational. 1/21/18.

Pours dark and heavy, with a nice tan head. Great looking stout.

The nose is all cherry cordials. Sweet, fruity, but full of chocolate and roasty coffee. Wasn’t sure about this one going in, but it’s awesome so far.

Again, cherry cordials come to mind first. It makes its way perfectly into the flavors, balanced with roasty malts and chocolate. Awesome.

Great body, not too syrupy. Good sticky finish.

Pours black and syrupy. 1+ finger khaki head. Not the best retention but nice lacing.

Amazing aroma. Cherry immediately upon popping the cap. Chocolate next, heavy and varied. Cocoa powder, hershey syrup, and semi-sweet baking chocolate. Barrel notes of oak, vanilla, and caramel. Black currants, hint of cinnamon, orange.

Lots of chocolate on the tongue. Noticeably less cherry, especially as it warms. Vanilla and caramel. Subtleties of raspberry, licorice, raisin, and currants. Very faint pepper.

Sweet, rich, lucious mouthfeel. Sticky. Mildly boozy which increases a touch as it warms. Lingering sweetness.

True definition of a dessert beer. Rich, lush, chocolately. Sticky with fruity notes, especially on the nose.

On tap at the brewery. Pours jet black with almost no head. Nose is thick chocolate, port, and cherries. Not syrupy at all. Taste follows the nose. Mouthfeel is thick and creamy, with sweet aftertaste. No alcohol heat.
