Pours a murky muddy brown, hardly a red ale but maybe. Nose is a spice cabinet. Notes of cinnamon bark, cake mix, vanilla and wood. Taste like a baked good. Interesting. Definitely in the vein of a dessert beer. Very spice cake like. Clove, cinnamon, nutmeg, almond extract, vanilla and brown sugar with a bit of woody barkiness...is that a word? And smooth oak finish to it. A bit on the cloying side IMO but it’s good for what it was. Doesn’t really speak Amber or Red ale to me tho. Has similarities to winter ales although I’m not the biggest fan of those but Red Rover is interesting to me. Medium body with a slight bit of candied bourbon and heat on the finish.

500ml bottle served in a snifter. Bought it at a liquor store in CA during a vacation last year. Don't see a date -- just 2018 release.

Pours a murky reddish brown with a small head. Smell is bourbon barrels.

Taste is bourbon barrels and a surprisingly strong red ale flavor. Caramel malts and toffee. Strong vanilla and oak.

Mouthfeel is medium to thick, slightly slick. Overall, I like it.

Cloudy amber brown with thin white head

Nose: Bourbon, caramelized sugar, cinnamon in the nose

Taste follows the nose with toasted caramel notes, bourbon, oak, vanilla, and cassia. Finishes fairly sweet.

Feel: Smooth, medium body. Low carbonation.

Poured from fridge temp. Pours a beautiful dark brown. Fairly murky. Looks like a nice barleywine upon first glance. Nose is dark fruit, bourbon, port, and toffee. Taste is caramel, bourbon, and dark fruit. Fairly sweet on the taste - perhaps a bit syrupy. My only complaint is that the sweetness is a bit high, but it's still very smooth. Mouthfeel is thick and creamy. Overall, a fantastic beer.
