Tar black with a short fuzzy dark mocha head that fizzles out quickly

Aroma is definitely intense of smoky and caramelized maple syrup wafting all around the immediate vicinity and then some. But unlike Mikerphone's abominations, it doesn't seem ominously cloying. It also allows room for some nutty roast, both from the malt and walnut, as well as a little milk chocolate and a hint of peppery, even corny, whiskey barrel.

Taste actually leads with barrel first, which is an absolute mindfuck after that aroma explosion. Barrel brings balanced, mild toasty oak and a measured heat from some smooth caramelly whiskey. This then transitions into bruleed oatmeal with plenty of maple and milky walnut.

The medium round body has a tingly, mild fizzy carbonation that comes into a faintly stinging, semi-dry and semi-sticky finish. For 15%, this is much less hot than I imagined it'd be.

As much as I've come to really dislike Mikerphone, I'm glad their collaboration here didn't mar the experience because this is so much more enjoyable than any part of that Nevermind album beer.

amazing aroma upon popping the cap! from two feet away, even! nice amount of carbonation but a funky artificial adjunctive flavor...??? very sweet. but a lingering bitter flavor stays in the back of the throat.... little bit of chocolate. not tasting the walnut, though....

Very dark appearance with slight tan head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is a nice maple and a touch of bourbon. Taste is a very smooth slightly sweet maple With a touch of bourbon.
