A - Big frothy head that lasts, minimal or no haze
S - Subtle bready malty aromas, slight citrus
T - Less hops than I expected. Nice use of malts.
M - Light to medium body, subtle carbonation
O - Not what I was expecting, but good just the same. It works

this is really pretty good, one of the better beers ive had from edge, especially on the hoppy side of things. its a little more malty than what is trendy right now, but i like the deeper shiny penny color and i like the depth the grain adds, a more complex beer that way, and it still features the hops rightly for the style. huge citrus profile to this one, fresh grapefruit, zested orange and lemon, and a very west coast oily and bitter essence to it. powerful beer too, with the alcohol seeming to extract a bigger oomph from the hops at the end, and the booziness does come out a little bit. just a bit of malt sweetness to this but it remains light, not toasted or caramelized or anything to me, but adds enough structure for all the hops. probably citra and/or mosaic in the mix here, but that cant be all, as it warms a pine element that i dont associate with either of these comes on, and it gets really bitter, maybe a centennial or other C type there. great balance overall for a beer at this strength, and as much as it has some malt to it, there is no doubt the hops get top billing. its fresh, relatively clean on the ferment, and enjoyable to a far higher degree than some of the other edge beers have been in my experience. nice!

Not a bad DIPA. I'm glad this one is an Idaho native. I would maybe like to see some mosaic hops utilized. Boozy and hoppy aroma. Malt up front, hops, bread and caramel. I will definitely load on these.

On tap from the source Boise ID.

A: Hazy gold with good amount of head and some lacing.

S: Doesn't punch you in the face with hops, more balanced and sweet. Malt bill shines with biscuit and some sweetness, hops lean pithy and citrusy with piney undertones.

T: Follows the nose with balance, subdued bitterness for sure - balanced malts and faint citrusy and piney hops.

MF: Doesn't drink like 9%, isn't too dry, medium feel.

O: Didn't meet my expectations as the year-round IIPA offering for Edge. Not hoppy, bitter or flavorful enough for me. Does drink easily for a higher abv beer though.

Hazy, good head. Who doesn't love head? Muted aroma of biscuity sweetness. Mild perceived bitterness. Not a whole lot of hop flavor. It boasts using Simcoe, Amarillo and Citra...I can barely pick out the Simcoe. Unfortunately, with no bottle dating I may have one of the first batch of bottles.

Bottle from Albertsons. Nice looking Revisit again, 4/12/2020 - Bottle from Albertsons. Deep golden body, persistent creamy head, rings of lacing. Caramel aroma with a hoppy edge. Taste flips this, moving the hops up front, sharp and biting, piney with a nice undercurrent of sweet caramel malts. Pretty smooth.

Prior: 3.5 - Nice looking pour, high frothy head, leaves sticky coating on glass. Nice hoppy aroma, but a bit gentle for an IIPA. Taste picks up the pace a bit, piny hoppiness, and finish ups the ante with a sharp bite and some warmth. Decent beer.

Nice smooth double, medium amber with thin head, good lacing. Bitterness embraces but doesn’t overpower. Astringent and long finish.
