Farmhouse Summer AleFarmhouse Summer Ale
Notes: A tribute to the highly drinkable "every day" beers from French-speaking Belgium. Contains Belgian two-row pale malt and 7% wheat. This beer is lightly filtered with an earthy, spicy hop character from imported Styrian Goldings hops and a beautiful rich creamy head from the wheat.

Plays the part with a nice golden color with wet head and lace and the de riguer biscuit note repping the nose. Bit of astringent graininess on the back end damages the flavor profile. Also a bit gritty in the texture. Seems like they were going for a bit of a Belgian spice thing but it went off the tracks. Pass.

Poor taste and a poor look. Flying fish seem to have alot of possibility with their brand but recently they seem to be lacking. This is just like drinking a bud lite. Sorry to say.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into an Accomplice IPA glass

L: Clear light golden pour with 2 fingers of fluffy white head. Thin rim of lacing.

S: Grainy... mild citrus.

T/F: Strong grain/light malts dominate the brew. A little sweet and biscuity. Mild spice and lemongrass. Light and drinkable. Well carbonated.

O: A pretty middle-of-the-road kinda beer. Easy drinking... flavor wasn't my speed, but I do like the low ABV and sessionability. Certainly not one to seek out... I'd have it again if offered.

Not a fan. Pours a nice straw color, a bit cloudy. Almost no head, and what did pour was gone in a minute. Nothing hit me with the smell. For me, the taste was overwhelmed by the feel. It was sharp to the point of metallic. Was so overpowering I didn’t get anything else in the profile. I couldn’t pick out what may have caused that....perhaps the water. Hops were there somewhere, but it tasted more like a Coors Light than a craft brew.

Another beer that was apart of my winnings when the 'Hawks beat Philly for the cup in 2010 that was finally paid off. It poured a clear yellow with no head and no lace. The scent had some floral and biscuit notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink. The mouthfeel is lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it's a decent beer.

Poured a slightly hazy pale amber with a two finger foamy white head that dissipated quickly. An extemely faint fruity aroma was present. Upfront taste is sweet and tangy with a somewhat metallic experience on the tip of the tongue. Very light hoppiness on the tail end. Medium body with light carbonation. This beer is drinkable after the first few sips. The metallic taste departed. However, there are much better farmhouse ales to be had.

Yellow slight amber in color with medium carbonation.yeast, malt and hop aroma.taste is identical to smell but more complex. Very easy beer to drink, not extreme in any area but nicely balanced. Hops are very distinct but not overpowering which made this a very enjoyable beer

Eek, see through light yellow color with quickly dissipating head. This has a yeasty scent with slight malt on the edge. Flavor is fairly decent, spicy hops to start and a bready finish. It's fairly light in mouthfeel with more carbonation than it looks like it has.
