Pours a pale yellow gold, mostly clear, with a head that vanishes immediately with no lacing. Strawberry up front with a trace of citrus. Taste follows nose. Light and we'll carbonated. Very refreshing.

From a BOM can into a pint glass. Poured with a quickly receding off-white foam head and a somewhat opaque -- bordering on hazy -- pale golden body. Scent has fruity tarty notes of strawberry and a touch of citrus. Taste follows well with a moderate tart that balances well with the strawberry and citrus notes and a malt backbone helps to keep things on the rails. Feel is on the lighter side with a delightfully refreshing aftertaste of strawberry and lime. A very refreshing, approachable, and sessionable gose.

Undated can into pint glass. Pours a clear light gold with a brief thin head. Initial impression is salty tartness, with lime and strawberry as advertised. Mouthfeel is actually fairly substantial for a 4.3% beer. Finish fades to a salty sweetness. Overall, not bad.

(Strawberry & Lime)
Appearance: Pours a delicate, light yellow body with a touch of haze and a very modest, white head.
Smell: Sweetish, tangy-scented a bit like a handful of Strawberry Nerds layered over light, wheat-accented malts and an acidic brine garnished with a lime wedge.
Taste: You're hit with a little bolt of sweetness ahead of the strawberry additive followed by a sprinkling of crystallized lime dust for a citrusy bite. Solid salinity, soundly tart.
Mouthfeel: Light-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Overall: Fine if a bit akin to something out of a Seagram's Escapes mix-pack. A bit sweet for me, but if they are going for a salt water taffy aspect, than it's at least understandable.

(12 oz can, 4100 04/15/23; purchased single off shelf... poured into a Gibraltar glass)
L: pale amber liquid, slight haze; finger-high head on the pour, drops quick... eventually, not even a collar remains, let alone lacing
S: whatever and from wherever that strawberry scent is, it's actually quite appealing against the saline and (kettle?) funk as well as the underlying crackery grain
T: mmm, a lot of flavor shifts during the first sip; a journey as it were... first, strawberry tart (pastry; taste, but not sweetness per se) and coriander, then a rush of tart, salty citrus, kind of like a tequila shot, finishing with a swell of lime flesh... the aftertaste is persistent amalgamation of these flavors, with the salted lime most pervasive, over a backdrop of like lemon poppyseed muffin...
F: light-bodied, a bit oily, but with enough carbonation to lift... its tartness and salinity have a mild pre-puckering effect, certainly waking up my palate from a deep slumber
O: who brewed this?!? It's sort of gose-like, but also part canned cocktail... I'm not used to Flying Fish putting out something of this quality. Well done, people. (1938)

Flying Fish Brewing Co. "Salt & Sea (Strawberry Lime)"
12 fl. oz. can coded "4010 01/24/23 09:06:38" and asmpled on 06/11/22
$2 @ ShopRite #519, Philadelphia, PA
Notes via stream of consciousness: It's poured a lightly hazy golden body beneath a full head of white foam that drops to a finger's width shortly. The aroma is fruity with strawberry over a delicate, sweetish and lightly grainy malt base. On to the taste... it's a little tart, and a little salty, and there's more lime than the aroma suggests. I get a combination of tartness as sweetish malt with strawberry upfront and then it transitions to lime towards the finish. That's all great but it does leave it as kind of a one-trick pony - let's call it two. It's nicely balanced by a moderate to median bitterness, and it finishes dry with some lime and mineral lingering. Looking back, the head held up fairly well but not that great, and it's only left a small amount of lacing behind. I think this makes a great, flavorful and refreshing beer for summer. What's the strength on it? It's just 4.3% which is perfect.

12 ounce can poured into a shaker pint glass. Best by 11/12/22. so really fresh.
L---Just shy of crystal clear, bright gold color. One finger white head faded quickly down to a cap and left good lacing.
S---They said salt water taffy and it's actually there along with strong strawberry and lighter lime.
T---Stawberry & lime with a very light amount of sour. That's disappointing.
F---Lightly prickly carbonation. No real pucker. Medium/light bodied.
O---A nice one except for the very light amount of sour.

nice little fruited summer gose here, boat beer for the sour fans. i like it on a number of levels. first, the souring is clean but most importantly very moderate, its tangy without being too acidic to drink, sour enough to be quenching and no more, akin to lemonade. the other thing i like is that i can taste all the beer elements through the fruit, its not overdone, it doesnt drink desserty or candy-like, even if the strawberry is not particularly natural tasting, more jammy and concentrated than real berries, but through that the wheat malt base, the salt and minerals from it, and even a little ale yeast are appreciable. i am also into the lime aspect, which resonated with about the same pucker as the lacto, and seems more natural than the strawberry, its forward here too, zesty and summery, almost cocktail-esque, very refreshing. this is a tasty beer overall, very light and well carbonated, drinkable for a sour, and id love to try some of the other variants they do of it, this base seems well suited for all kinds of riffing. thanks to my buddy for hauling this one up to share!

A: The beer is a little hazy dark yellow in color and has a moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that left a large patch of bubbles on the surface and a narrow collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of strawberries are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and has flavors of strawberries along with notes of lime.
M: It feels light-bodied on the palate and had a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is very refreshing and packs in a lot of strawberries in the smell and taste. It would make for a nice beer on the Jersey shore on a hot summer day.

Visually attractive, with light golden clarity, and a fluffy white head. A lime and salt Gose, and I'll have to say the strawberry part of this mixture is where it fell in flavor for me. For me, citrus works much better in a gose style than a sweeter berry. Had it served in a frosty mug and very cold, so it was refreshing and has its place in the summer heat.

Admittedly, not into sours, but this is decent enough...
...i am not the biggest fan of sours. I have tried, and continue to do so, but I was a bit disappointed when I noticed after buying this that it was a sour. No worries, i am always on the lookout for the next great experience. Now, while drinking this was far from it, it wasn't the worst thing I've ever had either. Mild on the sour flavor, it still has that strong, distracting astringent mouthfeel I find with sours. Overall, its a decent brew, I will guess there are those that love this and maybe will find it too mild. Off to read the other reviews to see if I am correct...
