Poured a dark amber color. The smell was of pine, grass, grapefruit, citrusy hops. The taste was very hoppy and on the stingy side. Clocks in at 7% ABV but the alcohol is blended well with the malts and spicy hops. Good beer overall, not my favorite by FLYING FISH, but a solid beer.

Solid beer all the way around. Dark copper color, some citrus, spices, and a tiny bit bready. Nice dry tart aftertaste with some hops and malt. Very drinkable.

Serving: 12 oz bottle poured into a shaker pint at EWR, Terminal C (bottle marked "best by 04-21-15").

Appearance: Clear, deep copper color with good, off white head.

Smell: Lightly malty with piney hops and a bit of citrus.

Taste: Soft caramel malts with grapefruit and a bit of spice.

Mouthfeel: Medium body and carbonation.

Overall: Crisp, flavorful and drinkable without standing out. Very unassuming 7% ABV.

Bottle "best by 6-14-16" into pint glass. Pours a really pretty reddish amber with an eggshell-white head. Initial impression is citrus, floral hops, followed by a little malt sweetness and some caramel. Mouthfeel is just about right - on the fuller side of medium. Moderate carbonation. Sweetness/caramel gains traction as it warms. Nice smooth finish. Another very enjoyable offering from Flying Fish.

Pours a dark amber with a 3/4 inch foamy head, leaving a fair amount of lacing along the glass. Aroma is sweet, slightly citrusy, with a strong dose of yeast and malt--fairly complex but not overwhelmingly so. Really enjoyable brew to take your time with on a cold fall or winter day. You'll feel the 7% ABV. Note: They have a clear 'best by' date on the label so pay attention to that when purchasing. I purchased a six pack in September and the best by date was only a few weeks after.
