Traded for this a while ago as this beer had "Nasty Woman" with 11/02 written below it on the bottom of the can. This turned out to be one of Finback's sweeter IPA's and more easygoing as this gently slid down sip by sip. Unlike some of their other cans that took a while to move to the front of my queue, this hardly had anything floating in it as the sediment was quite fine and appealing, being in line with the rest of this deceptively strong brew!

Good pour to this as the beer had a off-golden hue to it with the aforementioned haze because of the fine sediment. Not a big head topped this off but surprisingly, the lacing left behind was quite expansive with plenty of rings that seeped down into the next layer. The muted notes had tons of vanilla creme, tangerine, and a hint of grass in it with all of those being more pronounced in the taste. Melon rind and pith came out in the taste with some stone fruit to complement creamsicle-like dessert sweetness. Smooth and lacking in pronounced hops, the mild dankness came out in the aftertaste as this beer warmed up since the carbonation was present but not overly bubbly.

Plenty of alcohol here but you wouldn't know it based on taste. A slight warming effect came into play once I finished this off but if this beer left any impression on me, it was that this was not Finback's typical IPA. This would make for a great nightcap since the subtle lactose and cream trumped any other lasting impression. Sweetly slick, this was quietly enjoyable and a welcome change from dank hop bombs that these guys are more known for. Easily worth a go once or twice!

Golden yellow in color. Somewhat clear in appearance. Lots of melon. Citrus zest. Some orange rind and grapefruit pith. Balanced bitterness. Nice level of sweetness. Dry finish. Pretty good.

Had on tap. Pours clear, gold in color, with 1/4 inch head. Taste is tangerine, lemon, melon, and wet hops. Slightly bitter, medium-light bodied, and very clean. Nice and juicy IPA. I would get this again if I found it on tap.

16 oz can. Hazy yellow pour, finger white head, plenty lacing. Aroma bursts with citrus and fresh melon. Front end tastes just like the aroma, citrusy, melon rind, light malt sweetness. Solid hops come in, dank pine, weediness, citrus peel. Medium soft feel. This brew is refreshing n delish.

On-tap 12/4/2016 at Natty Greene’s Tavern in North Attleboro, MA, served in a tulip glass.

A: The beer is a deep gold color, with a large off-white head that fades slowly and leaves a thick lace on the glass.

S: The aroma contains floral hops, fruity citrus and caramelized malts.

T: The taste starts out sweet with flavors of citrus and caramel. Then a strong grassy hops bitterness comes in. The malt character is hearty and brings a very good balance. The after-taste is slightly sweet and slightly hoppy.

M: Crisp and smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is slightly sticky.

O: Very tasty, goes down quite easily, not too filling, good kick, good representation of style, it’s not a typical hop bomb but it is very well-balanced.

Pours a honey gold with a slightly hazy clarity and a tight white band around the shoulders. Nose expresses citrus and pith. Taste follows nose; however, more earthy and more pith and tropical fruit notes towards the back. Mouthfeel is light in body with an even carbonation and a kiss of acidity. Overall, an extremely solid IPA. I'd drink this regularly if I had access to it.

16 oz. can dated 11/02/16

Pours foggy hazy gold with a frothy white foam head. Smells like peach, mango, passionfruit, guava, orange, pineapple, lychee fruit, grapefruit, some bready caramelized malt, with resinous floral pine and dank earthy herbal grass. Tastes like resinous pine sap, bready caramelized malt, bitter floral pine, peach, mango, passionfruit, guava, orange citrus, pineapple, grapefruit, lychee, with spicy dank earthy herbal grass. Feels medium-full bodied, creamy and slick with moderate carbonation. Overall a nice Citra dry-hopped IPA.
