Sample at Mikkeller Beer Celebration Copenhagen 2018, Yellow Session. Aroma has sweet dextrin malt with fruity and sweaty hop notes. Taste is sweet and malty at first with dank hop notes, bitter and leafy finish.

Hazy but not murky beer. Light golden color. The aroma is full of mango, pineapple, oranges with a bit of grapefruit and and pine. Sweet but not overly sweet with a lot of grapefruit, orange, pineapple and mango. There is a great pithy, pine bitterness that gives it a dry finish. Pretty great beer.

this is exactly what these guys do best in my experience, these big super heady dry hopped brews, this one tastes a touch less fresh to me than some others i have had, and one of the first i have had on tap from them instead of in a can. i encountered this in nashville, likely a leftover from the conference a few weeks back, but its still drinking really nicely. the striking thing to me is how well the alcohol is hidden, it usually stands out to me most in this type of hoppy beer, but in this one and indeed some other finback ones, its really well concealed. i get more simcoe here in both nose and taste than others, but that juicy denali complexion which i am starting to be familiar with is here as well. lemons and lemongrass, tangerine and pineapple, faint wet coconut and lime. its so fruity, its awesome, but the taste isnt quite as bright as the nose, and carbonation is a little light for what it is. these guys are making better hazy ipa than almost anyone, and i always look forward to drinking their stuff, it was a treat to find this one sort of at large like this. tasty and well done, but i think i prefer the oscillation 10 to this one...

Aside from Oscillation 08, the haziest/murkiest one in the series, and may be the tastiest. Excellent all around, great mouthfeel, taste and nose.

L - pours a stupid hazy frozen pineapple smoothie. Thick and milky with a fuzzy white head. Looks delicious.
S - dank, oniony pineapple and spiced bread. Candied peach.
T - creamy dank peach and herbal bitterness. Spicy dankness kicked up a notch. Zesty creamsicle and white bread. Papaya. Black pepper. Loads of lingering bitterness.
F - full and hearty. A meal in itself. Peach fuzz mouthfeel.
O - some different flavors in this one. It wants to be a total juice bomb, but is aggressively balanced by potent herbal character and strong bitterness.

Dated 04/18/18 "Dirty Dozen" on the bottom of the can, 13 days old. No ABV on the can and it says "india pale ale" but Finback's instagram says its 8.1% + their breweries tap list says 8.0%. Safe to safe it's actually a DIPA.
Pours a completely opaque pale gold in the glass with two fingers of dense creamy head that sticks around. Beautiful. Nose starts of a punch of tropical fruit, notes of over-ripened papaya, mango, florals, cantaloupe, herbaceousness that reminds me of a earthier dark tea, blackcurrant and just a hint of clove. Taste follows the nose with additional notes of blueberry, apricot and a Portuguese sweet bread malt. Mouthfeel is a super creamy medium, verging on heavy, love it. Low bitterness, medium sweetness and a medium-light drying on this one. Finback has been brewing a lot of top quality beers recently, but this one is at the top of the pack. Trade for this.

This is the best Oscillation variation that has been brewed.
Look: medium golden cream color. Full on haze.
Smell: mango and papaya are definitely the prominent notes here. Pineapple and cantaloupe as well. Theres a hint of vanilla buscuit from the malt as the beer warms up. Definitely a herbal dank quality there too.
Taste: follows the nose with the mango and papaya up front. You then get the herbal green dank quality (some pepper and onion notes as well) drying the beer out nicely, with a very low level of bitterness. Some of the malt comes through mid palate, but it’s not super apparent to me.
Feel: Smooth and Creamy. This beer is soooo drinkable. Dangerous for a DIPA.
Overall: let’s put it this way: I had this beer and Very Green by Treehouse side by side with a bunch of friends and we all agreed they are, at least, about even (I gave the edge to this beer). This is one of the better NY IPA’s I’ve had in a while. Highly recommended.
