Pours a clear rich amber from the can, tiny amount of particulate, big fluffy 2" pocked off-white head that leaves a few streaks of lacing. Nose is musky honey, clover, lemon, light fresh plum and nectarine, slight hop resin. Flavor is full of deep, toasty malts, light malt sweetness, and a solid earthy backbone. Finishes nice and dry as well. Mouthfeel is moderate but with big crisp carbonation. Very balanced and clean - definitely worth seeking out.

A: Med amber with light gold specks. Sizable tan head settles down into thin film.

M: Med body with enough airiness and carb to keep it light feeling and refreshing.

S/T: Peppery, nutty, rustic grain, apple pear tart, burnt brown sugar, Georgia boiled peanuts.

500ml can, dated on bottom 11/9/18. I wonder if this paper label is legal since the "BdG" blacks out the ABV along with their descriptive information - a dumb idea by them in any case since it makes the label unreadable. Beer Label Guy says "Worst Label Ever!". Luckily for Transmitter, their brew is good. It pours with a nice head that slowly settles; semi-opaque orangish red. Aroma is rich and matches the taste of buckwheat, pilsner malts, and their spicy yeasts. Nice smooth feel with good carbonation. Overall, this is a fine beer, a good version of BdG by way of buckwheat, so that is a diversion from most other style examples. Maybe can collectors will value it for its especially lousy label.

A: The beer is clear dark brownish amber in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a short white head that quickly died down, leaving a narrow collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light aromas of nutty malts are present in the nose—chestnuts stand out in particular.
T: The taste has flavors of nutty malts with hints of yeast, the latter of which stand out in the finish.
M: It feels medium-bodied and slightly dry on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer seems to be a little maltier compared to other beers in the style but has a pleasant amount of dryness in the finish.

Tall can direct from the source in LIC, dating info on the bottom is mis stamped and useless...oh well, they tried.

Pours a warm and dark shade of medium amber, lasting and lasting lighter mocha cap.

Earthy and malted up sniff.

Full flavor, malted up brew with more earthy and musty qualities, buckwheat, honey, candi sugars, ripe pears all picked up...complex, tasty and quite interesting...well worth a try

biere de garde with buckwheat, and a wonderful use of the grain as well as example of the style, earthy cereals, peppery rye type spice, sweet caramelized vienna type malts, and a subtle and clean saison yeast strain, this is everything i want in one of these, drinkable, just a little bit sharp, full of rustic grain character, yet very well refined at the same time, these guys are doing some awesome beers, but this seems to be the sort of thing they are doing best! there is a lot of grain depth here, its baked and toasted and sweet and all of that, i get faint almond, red peanut skin, toast points, even a grilled thing to it, like baby barleywine in a concentrated sense, brown sugar, but also the actual grain not just its sugar, the buckwheat sure adds a lot here, its perfect in the style and more brewers should use it like this. the yeast is cool, mid range esters of red apple, cider, and sherry. there are killer layers here, yeast meeting grain in unique ways, and its the essence of autumn. i loved this, actually i loved all the beers here at transmitter, they have a wonderful interpretation of the style in this one, unique but also an instant classic. more please!
