-hazy amber tap pour with a 1 cm foam cap and a sweet aroma of banana and apple. The flavor has bready malt beneath grape, peach and honey notes. There is a slight vinous aspect and the Saison yeast informs the flavor significantly. The finish is slightly dry. -very good

cool that these guys are putting beer in cans now, this is exactly what i hoped it would be, a crisp and interesting saison, classically styled, bitter enough, slightly funky, very rustic and old worldy, but also really well refined, i thought it was fantastic, as was just about all the beer we had from transmitter. the yeast is simple, a lightly vinous and partially belgian strain, clean enough, a little estery, almost a dupont vibe to it, wheaty and raw on the grain base, some body but very very dry, awesome effervescence here too. the hops are grassy and dried herbal tasting to me, maybe not just saaz here, but im not positive what it is, a tea note, straw, and just faintly vegetal. white wine notes as it warms, some light funk, and a fluffy cereal base here, round and expansive and even creamy a little bit. great balance here, nice wheat forward underneath, and hop driven second half. the yeast is somewhat subtle, but it makes this insanely drinkable, and its pretty distinct still. really good beer overall, one of my favorites we had from these guys, high quality, slammable, and really flavorful. they did a lot with a little here...

Really good example of a saison. This style has to be complex, since it's not usually "forward" with respect to some seasoning or flavor. Can't just be hops, can't just be cinnamon, can't just be chocolate..... The initial scent is light vanilla. The flavor is only slightly bitter, and yeasty, some banana. The carbonation is just right. Pale yellow in appearance.

Pours a clear golden color with a moderate moussy head that shows good retention.
Aromas of stone fruit, cracker malt, and earthy grass and notes of hay.
Dry and semi sticky cracker malt taste with a light fruity sweetness. Flavors of peach, in particular, stand out, as well as complimentary notes of pear, melon, lemon, and white grape, Moderate peppery phenols and a developing grassy bitterness adds a nice touch.
Medium bodied, smooth mouthfeel, and a gentle carbonation. The finish stands out as it is dry and grassy and makes one want to drink it faster.
One of the better Saison I’ve had recently. It was tasty, delicate and well crafted. I feel they got the style spot on.

Hazy bright blonde with piles of loose white froth. 4
Lovely barny, floral, fresh, bagel dough nose. 4.5
Clean pils malt, cidery bite, honey, then cut grass, a touch of lemon peel, slight farmyard-ish washed cheese rind, and herbal end. 4.25
Fizzy, clean, light. 4

Bangin’. Touch of sour, rather than white pepper phenols, keeps it clean. Otherwise, every nook of the classic style. Could go toe to toe with Beaux Vieux. 4.5

A: The beer is crystal clear golden yellow in color and has a moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a finger high bright white head that gradually died down, leaving some specks of bubbles on the surface and a thin collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of fruity yeast are present in the nose along with notes of grainy malts.
T: The taste starts off with flavors of fruity yeast—pears seem to stand out in particular—along with notes of earthy yeast and notes of grainy malts.
M: It feels a bit shy of being medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This saison is easy to drink and has some refreshing properties. The fruity yeast aromas and flavors are a lot different compared to the spicy flavors you typically get. This might not be preferred by someone who likes traditional saisons, but I found it to be quite enjoyable, especially for a beer during the summer months.
