Decanted from a 16 oz (473 ml) can obtained at Transmitter Brewing on 7/11/2020 into a Captain Lawrence, muffin top pint glass; canned on 04/24/20, code PH1 DRY HOP.
A: Pours a fairly clear, dark golden color with bright golden-orange highlights, a brief one finger, lemon chiffon head, no more than rim retention, and virtually no lacing.
S: Aromas of dry hay, grain (especially corn), honeysuckle and pepper (both late) and maybe a touch of lemon (or orange at times).
T: Dry. Palate follows the nose with corn and lemon predominating, although oddly. Bitterness gentle and complements the overall flavor picture very nicely.
M: Light bodied (toward medium) with very light carbonation. Very creamy and smooth. Reminded me of a saison on the palate.
O: Sparkling Ale (per the label) pretty much sums it up. BNY2 (Brooklyn Navy Yard 2) is a solidly crafted, flavorful, very crushable cream ale. I could get used to these.

A: The beer is clear dark yellow in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a short white head that left a few small patches of bubbles on the surface and a minuscule collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light aromas of pale and sweet malts are present in the nose. There are also some hints of corn adjuncts.
T: The taste follows the smell and has flavors of pale malts along with notes of associated malty sweetness. A light amount of bitterness is present.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied and somewhat clean on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer isn't overly flavorful, but has a nice mouthfeel associated with it.
