500 ml bottle with a BB date of 9-2015. "Hibernator" is not on the label but the ABV is listed as 7%.
Pours black with some faint highlights at the edges. Decent, semi-durable head.
Complex and flavorful for style. One of the better oatmeal stouts I’ve ever had.

500 ml bottle into snifter, best before 1/2016. Pours nearly pitch black color with a 1-2 finger dense light khaki head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, roasted malt, toasted oats, dark bread, light char, light licorice, herbal, and roasted earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great complexity and balance of roasted malts, oats, and light earthy hop notes; with great strength. Taste of big dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, roasted malt, toasted oats, dark bread, light char, light licorice, herbal, and roasted earthiness. Good amount of roasted coffee bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, roast, toasted oats, dark bread, light char, and roasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Fantastic complexity and balance of roasted malts, oats, and light earthy hop flavors; with a great roasted bitterness/sweetness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a smooth, moderately creamy, and lightly sticky/chalky mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is an awesome export stout style! All around great complexity, balance, and robustness of roasted malts, oats, and light earthy hop flavors; and very smooth to sip on. A highly enjoyable offering.

Poured into english pint.
Jet black beer with one-finger tan head. Smell of roasted malts, coffee and liquorice. Taste of coffee, chocolate, cherries and other fruit esters, very drinkable.

A - a dark black with creamy tan head, pretty solid lacing.
S - bitter dark chocolate, creamy coffee, roasty notes, well balanced, creamy oats come through.
T - creamy and bitter, chocolate and mocha notes, luscious dark cherry, really rich and nice with a pleasant dry malty finish.
M - drinks quite nicely with just a mild alcohol spiciness, light carbonation and a coating malty feel, thick feel to it.
O - an interesting stout, quite drinkable and nicely creamy, the combination of the oaty creaminess and bigger alcohol seems to work fairly well in this.
