Great on draft selection. was able to try some incredible stouts along with MT5 from Modern Times. Great experience and the father-in-law enjoyed it.

Provisions Market is located in Old Towne Orange, a quaint area of Orange.
Provisions was an interesting place. Due to the area, it reminded me of a neighborhood hangout from years past. It's a rustic, inviting and comfortable place. They had Portola Coffee inside. They sold beers on tap along with food. But, I mainly came to see what they had in bottles. They carried beers in both coolers and on shelves. The selection was pretty nice. I bought a bottle of Birthday Bomb! which I'm looking forward to trying.
I really like this area, so I will revisit when in the area again.

As some older reviews point out, this establishment had some major issues w pricing (happy hour not consistent, price not as advertised, over pricing of some basic session beers, etc.) and correct pours. However, now nearly a year since my first impression, things have inevitably gotten better. The atmosphere is rustic and very relaxing. Come with a group or easily relax by your lonesome. They have a wide variety of bombers and a very decent tap at (almost) all times. Their big beer take overs are a god send (abraxas on tap in California anyone?). The food is not quite "good" but is good enough (if you're reading this, you probably arnt primarily concerned w the chow anyway). They have a Portola coffee stand within the establishment which is always good after a few beers.
Now for the cons...
Although service is okay, you rarely get a server who is knowledgeable about the beers you inquire about. Sometimes you will even manage to get someone who seems to be completely oblivious to where they are working. The food being just okay can be considered a con as well as a pro, I suppose. It is also worth mentioning that they have twice now lowered the quantity of food given without a heads up pre ordering. I am pretty sure the price didn't lower alongside the quantity either. Finally, they only pour 6 oz for their heavy beers at a high price to your wallet.
Overall, this is a solid addition to the beer community which, I feel, comfortably sits among the top three best joints in the immediate Orange area. Bottle Logic and the Bruery being the only other big dogs to contend with.

This is the second iteration of Provisions. Initially, Provisions was part of the Bruery and a few years ago, the space was solid to Haven. Will has kept the general lay-out about the same. There’s still plenty of taps (20) and a robust bottle selection. Thankfully, you are now able to peruse the bottles with a beer in hand. Another plus, Portola Coffee Lab (FINALLY) made their way to Provisions, so you can also score an excellent coffee. The food is really solid, although it’s super slow preparing said food.
Now for a few things Provisions could work on to make their beer experience even better:
-Happy Hour is not always applied evenly***
-Kettle-sours are $7-8 ...seriously (and definitely NOT cool)***
***Though in fairness their Tap Takeovers are usually reasonably priced.
-There’s no communication (email, social media, carrier pigeon, or otherwise) to regularly inform me what bottles are in stock.
Solid, but still has a ways to go before it graduates to being premier.

Incorrect pricing during happy hour (no discount), incorrect pour size (10-12 ounce glass with plenty of room when 17 ounces is what they have listed) and off taste of ESBC Two Five Left (dirty lines?).
When Haven first took over this spot from Bruery everything was good. Now, a year or two later they seem to have lost their way. I see Groupon type deals for this place occasionally and now I think I know why.

V: I walked in around 9 at night on a weekday, pretty empty, about 10 people were there. It has that country, woody laid-back vibe. Pretty relaxing, I don't remember if there was any music playing, it seemed pretty quite.
Q: Very good quality, high quality beers on tap and bottles.
S: No one approached me and asked me if I needed help but when I approached the counter I was proved service. Dude was real cool.
S: Not a bad selection, there's better out there, it's above average.
F: Didn't have anything to eat but the food in the deli looked quality.
O: Nice place, laid back vibe.

Good happy hour prices if they have what you want on tap.
