Notes / Commercial Description:
par·a·digm \per-ə-dīm\ an outstandingly clear or typical example.

There are only a few moments in life where an opportunity arises that may possibly change the way you view the world. This is one of those moments. What you have in your hand is an outstandingly clear or typical example of what an American Brown Ale should be. Paradigm Brown Ale is a highly hopped brown ale that transcends the characteristics found in many examples of the style. The wonderful hop aroma will be apparent the second you pop the cap. Your first sip will present you with frothy foam and the taste of delicious chocolate malt that is more typical of a darker colored beer. The malt flavors will carry the hop bitterness through the entire sip and it finishes with a smooth texture that leaves your mouth watering for more. At this moment your view of the beer world has changed forever.

This is not your typical Brown Ale. The first thing you'll notice when you crack the top is the hop aroma. From that moment on you are experiencing one of the best Brown Ales around. The hops are complimented by malts that present hints of nuts, cocoa and coffee. Carbonation rounds it all out to make this a brew to enjoy year round. Truly worthy of the awards it's won.

L: Pours a tan head and has a dark, almost porter-like body to it.
A: Pleasant hops hit you first then you can smell the chocolate malt.
MF: Medium body and well carbonated.
T: My favorite part. Awesome balance flavors of roastiness, chocolate and a citrusy flavor of hops. An a great bitter finish.
O: Without a question my favorite brown ale because it is such an unique example of the style. Pairs well with any type of food. Especially burgers and pizza. Anyone who doesn't drink brown ale should absolutely give this one a try.

This is the best brown ale I've ever tasted. It's a truly world class beer. I've stopped buying other Browns now because everything else pales in comparison. This is the Heady Topper of brown ales in my humble opinion.

On draught. FANTASTIC. Get this one! An amazing take on brown ales; definitely not the lighter bodied simple brown/copper ales you've had many of. This stands alone. A deep amber pour with creamy head & sticky lace. An aroma of sweet sugar cookie malt, some hop and powdered hot chocolate (?). Medium bodied with a creamier than expected mouthfeel but not cloying. The taste similar to the aroma rounded out in a stunning way with some slightly bitter hops, making this feel like an Imperial Bitter, crisp refreshing, delicious!

Paradigm is aptly named for changing the way you look at a brown ale. Like so many others I've spoken with, I'm not usually a brown ale drinker. This beer is rich and complex in mouth feel, aroma and flavor.

*One of the best brown ales i've tried*

Pours dark with a finger+

Amazing aroma, toasted caramel malts and some herbal grassy notes from generous hopping.

7% abv goes unnoticed.

I cant get over the nose on this. Like a chocolatier in a coffee house with the windows open in a large field after mowing.

I don't love the packaging but this is a delicious american brown ale worth picking up if you see it.

It's my favorite brown ale. It pours extremely dark, which is a departure from the classic brown ale, but a difference that I prefer.

The nose is hop-forward, with notes of crushed cocoa and dark fruit. It's almost robust porter territory but not quite.

The taste is where the wow factor is in this beer. Huge dark chocolate and fig followed by a wave of hops that shine through, even in such a rich beer. The mouthfeel is full without being overwhelming. Delicious.

Overall, it's fantastic. There isn't a flaw to note. A top brown ale in the world as far as I'm concerned. Buy this beer.

Brown ale is a style that I don't choose first. This beer has changed my opinion. After 15 years of visiting my in-laws in New Hampshire, I finally found some micro breweries. At the suggestion of the bottle shop owner I grabbed a bottle of Paradigm Brown Ale.
Of the half dozen bottles purchased it was the first one cracked.
A bomber shared amongst four people, everyone had the same opinion. It was like no other brown they had tasted.
Incredibly smooth, beautiful head, great aroma, one bottle wasn't enough.
Chocolate, butterscotch, toffee, and hops.
Very well balanced. Very drinkable.
My only regret is not purchasing more.
