On tap at Hop City, Birmingham. Poured into a taster glass.

A: An opaque golden/peach with a one finger head that dissipates quickly. Not much lacing.

S: Yep, caramel and butterscotch with some grassy hops in the background.

T: Boozy, sweet and rich. Caramel, vanilla, molasses and rye with a hint of hops to round it out. A true sipper. Let it warm for full flavorage.

M: Medium to heavy with medium carbonation.

O: Glad I finally got to try this one. An excellent barleywine. Would definitely seek out again, in larger quantities.

Poured from 32 oz growler into snifter.

A: Pours a deep crimson red with one finger off white head that settled fairly quickly to a thin ring. Moderate sticky lacing.

S: Floral and grassy hops, sweet caramel, and butterscotch.

T: Fresh baked bread, caramel, butterscotch, vanilla, cherries, and a touch of pepper and rye.

M: Full bodied and nicely carbonated. Finish is fairly sweet with a significant hop bite.

O: Very well done. It bridges the gap between American and English styles. Just enough hop punch combined with a fairly significant sweetness. Very drinkable for 10% ABV.

Tap from Hop City. Pours deep golden amber with creamy head. Aroma of caramel, butterscotch and booze. Tastes of booze, caramel and dark fruits. Slightly bitter aftertaste. Very good
